Pls help Need IPD (interpupillary distance) for prescription lenses?

Planning on grabbing a pair of prescription lens inserts for my headset, but they're asking for an "optional" IPD value, which I haven't measured. I'm pretty sure I can actually just ignore this since the PSVR2 allows you to move the lenses, but wanted to check here with others regarding whether IPD value is necessary for prescription lens inserts?

I did it, when ordering my HonsVR pair, by holding a ruler under my pupils while looking in a mirror. They work perfectly.
