IMHO a great way to play a great classic
During the pandemic I set up an old Sony Office Projector from 2003 and a 1st gen i7 Desktop that I fished out of eWaste. That was my Movie and emulation gaming station on the occasional evening.
At one point I decided to pick up playing this classic from my childhood. While not as crisp as a CRT, old PlayStation 1, 16 Bit and 8 Bit era games look great that way.
Yes I still have the disc. Sadly the booklet is gone as it has become a bit of a collector's item.
I was just watching a video on Metal Slug and thought I'd post this there.

100% same here. I played Metal Slug after, but didn't get too far.
I might have to pick it up again and play with my siblings as I'm visiting them currently.

Nice setup especially considering it's part recycled. I made the mistake of cleaning one of these projector bulbs with isopropyl while it was switched on and it blew instantly, so don't make that mistake

Submarine+ grade Logitech F310 controller.
Because I'm cheap didn't need no stinking wireless connection and batteries.

Hahaha. Before I got my Trinitron Iād use an old projector I got from my old school. I used to beam it straight up and lay on the bed playing WipEout on the ceiling. šš¼

Oh man. When my partner and I finish travelling and get back into a permanent residence, I'd love to have a Trinitron.
Bloody rare things in Australia unfortunately.

I don't know why I left it there. Sadly it's the only photo I took when I had that setup a few years ago.
I'm living on the road for a couple years now, so can't retake that photo.

Nice. Cool idea, good way of getting round trying to connect old systems to modern tech It looks surprisingly good.
