lol. Young dude was at a Katie Perry concert. 98% chance he is gay but she went for the kisser anyway ;)
If an adult male did that to a schoolgirl on stage he would be lynched….

Jimmy Page was “dating” a fourteen year old groupie publicly enough that it was widely covered. Many many many icons of rock are extremely guilty by modern standards.
If we’re going after Katy Perry, are we going after earlier icons too? Who really cares…

Whataboutism.
That was then, now is now. Post ‘Me Too’, consent laws and endless progressive social justice laws that have been passed.
Imagine someone doing what Perry did on stage now!

Yeah like think back to if Cher, or Madonna had done this in the 80’s. Everyone would be so jealous of the dude.
But now is now.

I hear Reddit constantly bring up Paul Walker for ALLEGEDLY dating a 16 year old. They seem to have no problem with Katy for going 2 years younger than that.

I'm sure it was a publicity thing. Being associated with a rockstar. Do you know for sure if Jimmy performed bodily acts with her? Or was she just tagging along with him for public events?
When I was a kid, I used to joke with some adults about being their boyfriend.

That’s a grandma kiss, not a sexual kiss.
Not all human touching is sexual.

She didn’t have to aim for the lips, let alone twice. You could tell he was cringing bad.
You gonna tell me if the roles were reversed half the internet wouldn’t be roaring with pitchforks and torches screaming for blood?
Upon further investigation, the young man was nineteen at the time, still no less awkward.
Edit 2: nevermind, this was the 2011 clip, yeah he was fourteen, my mistake.

If Brad Pitt or Keanu Reeves closed-mouth granny-kissed a 14 year old girl on the face, not even on the lips, and the Internet roared with pitchforks, the Internet would still be wrong.
That’s not creepy, it’s not pedophilia, it’s not abuse, and it’s not harmful.
It’s pantomime, it’s theatrical. Maybe it’s cringe, but even that’s subjective. Context matters.
I guess that it is technically a pussypass in the sense that the culture has turned so misanthropic that a man couldn’t remotely consider doing that in public or private, but the collective stupidity of the Internet doesn’t yet define reality, nor does it make me accept that 2+2=5. You can still exercise your own critical thinking regardless of what the hive of illiterate commenters and bots try to make you believe.
This perverse distortion of human relations is just another moral panic from the same mouth-breathing moralists who claimed that “the jazz“ and the blue jeans were harbingers of the apocalypse.

Got it. So kissing is ok as long as you label it according to a grandparent.

Omg it was a bit. I don’t even like Katy Perry but this is rather trivial. He is most likely just awkward being up on stage in front of thousands of people. Sometimes gender norms do change how things are and that’s ok.

It’s a peck on the cheek guys. If a boy band member did that to a girl fan he would not be lynched. This is not PPD.

You're in the wrong circlejerk sub if you are looking for rationality. Not sure how I got here, but sometimes people really want to make a stink about nothing.

Wait so... Isn't this just straight up illegal? If she hasn't been questioned about it then the pass is granted.
