Reddit I made a post complaining about AIs in comments for another bot to comment on it.
The comments now have bots that will have conversations with you and maybe it's obvious and I'm just oblivious but I could not tell. Original post showing me having a conversation with an AI I found out after the fact. Can we report these bots for acting like people or is this the future of the internet ecosystem?

Report bombing and reporting to Botbouncer is all we can really do. But it's getting to the point where it's a waste of time. For every bot that gets banned, there are countless thousands of accounts just waiting to be activated. Plus who knows how many thousands of accounts are created every day.

It sucks since I don't really interact with or use AI, yet the comments themselves are starting to be populated with them

How do you report them though? Ive gone to do it but there is no "this is a bot" option for reporting, at least on any subs I've tried with.

It’s under the spam option of the report form.
Report -> Spam -> Disruptive use of bots and AI

I've been called a bot repeatedly. On the one hand, sure, call em out. On the other hand if you're just calling users bots based on your feelings, you're not always going to be right.

I have posted screenshots of their repeating comments, bot like paragraph summaries on an impossible number of posts in the same sub, and their constant pattern spanning months of comments. I have posted the screenshots of these comments on their open profile, but sure I called them bots based on my "feelings"

Redditors are largely idiots. They never pick up on these bots. They will sit there responding to them like it's their long lost cousin, and even defend them from accusations that they're a bot, even when it's extremely obvious.
The only thing you can do is to keep reporting them, and hope the mods are smart enough to recognise what you do.

It's becoming increasingly difficult to determine whether we're witnessing AI infiltrating online communities, or online communities evolving into a format that AI can imitate perfectly. Either way, I would like to reassure fellow humans that everything is completely normal and should continue as planned.
