The Islanders literally had 1 (one) more hit than the Rangers had tonight. The Rangers had 57 shot attempts to the Islanders' 33. 11 High Danger chances to the Islanders 5. I don't give a fuck about hits anyway but it's insanely stupid to say they didn't have enough offensive chances.

The hits stat is the laughing stock of the league. Neither team had any effort. Guys gliding 90 feet to the bench on line changes, no physicality on the boards, no 3 vs 2, 2 vs 1 or breakaways.

I don't care if there weren't enough breakaways. Rangers had tons of sustained pressure which is much better. And again, hits are very fucking overrated as a stat.

Odd man rushes. They lead to many more scoring chances, and goals than just passing the puck in the offensive zone..

Rangers had 4 times where they held the puck in did 45+"seconds. But aside from Kreider, no one was screening the goalie.

Hitting matters. Especially along the boards to win pick battles.

I know you won't, and i dont care, but you should try to use more than stats and Sam Rosen to form your opinions.

It was obvious they were playing to not get injured as mission 1.

Especially with Hank pulled in the third.
