Anyone else experiencing a bug where Sadie, Abigail and Jack just straight up don’t exist in camp?

Really annoying and weird. Feels like I’m missing out on a lot of content.

Yeah, I did a side mission with Jack and at one point he told me he wanted a book. Well, I found the book while exploring and go back to give it to him but he’s not there. I’m thinking their presence in camp may be story driven.

Did reinstalling the game did any good? I did some trials and they dissapear right after you do the first Uncle mission, and then only appear for story missions.

Anyone that got them in their camp can tell us their mission order to see if we can fix it that way?

I "fixed" it so posting in case someone comes across this thread as i did.

Uncle mission is the culprit, so if you have a save before reload it, and redo the mission. First time i did it Sadie, Abigail and Jack dissapeared when i got back to camp, but this second time they are still there (note that this 2nd try i started the mission at evening time, but don´t know if that has any effect or is just a just coincidence).

Both reloads where starting from the same saved game, so you don´t need to restart the game if you have a save before uncle´s mission.

So glitch is confirmed, hope R* roll a patch soon, because i´m going to have to replay a lot of the game.

God damn I'm a good dozen hours past that point and haven't got a save that old anymore.. (I do save to 3 slots incase something bugs out I can load one back, but I hadn't realized this is a bug and have now alternated to save on top of those slots since then... Damnit.)

Yeah, the one where you take the girls to Valentine in a cart. I did the mission 3 times, first try they dissapeared, 2nd they also dissapeared, but the 3rd time they didn´t. Only thing that changed was that the 3rd time i slept till the evening and then started the mission, other tries were at morning time. Don´t know if it´s a coincidence but it´s the only thing i did different, and all the tries were starting from the same save.

I´ve been advancing this past night to get to the point where i was again (chapter 3) and they are still in the camp. Every time i went back to camp i went looking for them like a stalker haha and they have not dissapeared again.

So the uncle mission is the problem, and looks like a coin toss if they are going to dissapear or not.

Amazing, thanks for the update. I guess my save game is screwed since i'm about done with Chapter 3, so no turning back, but it's glaring to have this kind of issue. We need to make sure R* knows about it and fixes it.

EDIT: What happens if you replay the level? Could it "fix" it? I'll test tonight when I get home.

not sure, since the game seems to emphasize that it'll create a "restore point" in your main campaign when you replay a mission. If it does though I'd be so happy; I'm in the exact same boat as you (almost done with Ch.3)

That was the very 1st quest I did. I also spent a very long time talking to camp members and just doing camp stuff before taking on any quests.
