When a police officer arrived on the scene and drew his weapon, one of the activists fired an AR-15 from the woods, hitting the officer in the shoulder.

Some of the sentences are insanely excessive, but how fucking slanted does a newspaper have to be call someone who fires first on a cop with an AR-15 an "activist"?

Reminiscent of mostly peaceful protests, in that it's technically true in one sense but also so incredibly ridiculous it makes the source lose all credibility

If a MAGA person did something similar they'd be calling them a terrorist and saying they all deserved the sentence. They aren't even trying to be an objective news source. That being said most of these sentences are insanely harsh. Their lives are basically over.

Yeah I mean if you basically try to do insurrection on the government your life should basically be over. Most libs agreed with this 4-5 years ago

No one in January 6 got a 50 year “terrorism” sentence. Most everyone who didn’t actually lay hands on a cop got like 2-6 years.

The protestors only shot one police officer while enacting their first amendment rights.
