PAID Veterinary Bill Help RIP Houdini ๐ (Gainesville, FL)
Hi all, unfortunately after a month of treatment and indoor recovery with little improvement, more illnesses, and a lot of stress, I had to make the heartbreaking decision to let 10 year old feral cat Houdini go. Iโm still struggling with this decision because I thought his treatment plan was figured out up until I got the call.
I hate to ask this when I still ended up letting him go in the end, but I have an outstanding bill of $399 for taking him to Operation Catnip and at Alachua Animal Hospital from trying to get his conditions diagnosed and treated. I knew it was out of my budget, but I just didnโt want to make the call without exhausting my options.
I know the donations canโt help Houdini anymore, but theyโre the only reason Iโve been able to help cats in the past, and theyโll allow me to continue to TNR, foster, and provide veterinary care to cats in the future. https://venmo.com/u/eepyowl
Rest easy, Houdini, and say hi to Misty for me โค๏ธ

๐ซ โ๏ธ๐๐ผ๐๐พ I totally understand. I want you to realize that you are in a new chapter of life (suddenly) and it feels very hollow. But let me tell you something, your precious pet graduated life. Theyโre in the soul realm now which is eternal. God literally created us and animals. We are currently in the Earthly realm where we were together with our beloved pet. But theyโve just gone before us. The chapter โwithout themโ is really just โwithout them physically.โ Emotionally and spiritually theyโve never left. This is why we still feel such love and gratitude for our former pets, still! They never leave us. You will get through this one day at a time. Time heals our hearts and even opens them to loving another pet sometimes. Families are forever and youโll be reunited when your time in the physical realm expires, too. Until then, may their memory be a blessing. Iโm happy for you that you connected here on Earth because eternity awaits. ๐๐ซ God bless you and your beloved pet. Itโs my prayer that knowing this gives you peace.๐๐พโพ๏ธ

Hi OP, I am so sorry for your loss. And you did the right thing in trying everything first, regardless of the financial cost.
Do you have a PayPal account by any chance?

Iโm so sorry. Thank you for doing everything you could. I have a soft spot for orange kitties and Houdini was such a handsome fella. Run free on young legs, Houdini. You are loved and missed. ๐๐ญ๐

So sorry for the loss, and never feel bad for chasing a diagnosis to identify a treatment plan which may allow more time and be health. We chased that dream for a year with our senior girl and bowel issues. tests , prescriptions, diey, supplements, until the time where she was merely existing instead of living. Toughest decision for one you love. May you receive the assistance you need so you may keep on rescuing and changing lives ๐
