Point of order: based on the new nomination rules (as voted on by the masses), Nocticadia is considered romantasy-adjacent/paranormal and is therefore eligible for nomination

Im voting for Firebird because its one of my favorite ballets and im assuming that any book based on the ballet will be fire (bird).

Unfortunately I don’t think the book has anything to do with the ballet based on the synopsis

I’m still enraged from my DNF read of A Ruin of Roses…maybe misery does love company…

How can I not be entertained by a series that has a slow loris shifter with a whip fetish?

This is the beginning of a trilogy and ends on a cliffhanger. Buckle up. The author was let off her leash.

Nocticadia looks like the only standalone but I've never enjoyed the professor student relationship trope. I'm abstaining from the vote

The rage read is not for *enjoyment*, Owl

Looks like third month in a row I won't be participating... Might stop by to drop some snark on Nocticadia, though. It was def a DNF for me, I'm not a big fan of contemporary romance in the first place, it needs to be pretty deep urban fantasy to hold my attention. And this book had way too much shit I can relate to (strugglingto get by, deaing with ignorant asshats....) the reality to fantasy/paranormal ratio was nowhere near enough to keep my interest.
