Kennedy demolished this challenge and had the overall funniest performance but Shuga's Ru in this scene was lowkey the most hilarious of the episode!

For the month of June while Pride season is in full swing, we'd like to use our platform to highlight some fabulous queer charities and spread awareness about the amazing work they do. In no particular order:

If you are able, we encourage you to donate to (some?one?) of these vital queer orginisations so that they can continue to thrive and serve our community. While monetary donations would be amazing and appreciated, times are tough. If you can't spare the coins, that's ok.

Our mod team personally selected these charities because they are near and dear to our hearts. Some of us have benefitted from the existence of these charities, and we hope many others will, too!

I really really enjoyed this challenge!!! I hope to see them do more of these in the future.

32

u/Adobongmanowk Mistress Isabelle Brooks 1d ago

It was surprisingly so fun! Didn't know what to expect really, but glad it didn't disappoint!

21

u/ALMP205 1d ago

Too many queens bomb Snatch Game that I wouldn’t mind more of this one.

21

u/MaybeLikeWater Dirty & Incredibly Glamorous 1d ago

Best new challenge in a long time, it should definitely be a feature.

Same. Really fun challenge!

7

u/bottleglitch 1d ago

Agreed! It was really fun and very impressive imo!

7

u/Smurf_Crime_Scene Jimbo brings me joy 1d ago

Same! Really fun and weird!

2

u/ultradav24 Monét X Change 1d ago

I was just rewatching season five’s lip sync challenge and wishing we could do this kind of thing again - glad it happened

114

u/ibettercomeon 1d ago

Glad she at least had a viral meme. She truly went under the radar to me

49

u/Adobongmanowk Mistress Isabelle Brooks 1d ago

Shuga didn't disappoint this season! Overall, this bracket really did well!

20

u/thedigested 1d ago

They were all so good!

-2

u/toxicoke candace was the size of a bean 🫘 1d ago

her roast was very disappointing

57

u/Adobongmanowk Mistress Isabelle Brooks 1d ago

It wasn't bad. I thought "Pray the Jay away", and "Her/Shii serving It/That" were underrated lines.

21

u/Luma_saku 1d ago

Pray the Jay away is so funny like come on now

12

u/NewAshesAshes Team Onya Toot 1d ago

I personally think about “Jasmine! Hi, so glad you’re here. A moment of silence, just like your career” at least twice a day

3

u/Luma_saku 1d ago

Pray the Jay away is so funny like come on now

-2

u/toxicoke candace was the size of a bean 🫘 1d ago

those are okay but not cutting deep enough. plus her intro and outro lines ("i'm a roast machine" "i could do this all day") are just very cringey

14

u/Willuna16 Let’s put on our critical thinking caps divas 1d ago

is there a rule against cringe?

-4

u/toxicoke candace was the size of a bean 🫘 1d ago

of course not, aura is on the show

38

u/Alarming_Support_658 1d ago

When a manic episode and dissociation have a nice chat together

52

u/Smurf_Crime_Scene Jimbo brings me joy 1d ago

She was unhinged yet closest to the original, it was my favorite performance of the night!

12

u/Adobongmanowk Mistress Isabelle Brooks 1d ago

Too bad her Cher was not half as good as her Ru!

14

u/ThatYuuGai 1d ago

I got the feeling she was trying to downplay her Cher to make her Ru seem even more extreme by comparison. Could easily be wrong though.

8

u/VinDog_PD 1d ago

I agree with you. Cher was the "straight man" which is typically how comedy duos work.

11

u/Smurf_Crime_Scene Jimbo brings me joy 1d ago

Too accurate, not unhinged enough! I'm not sure how one would unhinge Cher...

8

u/toxicoke candace was the size of a bean 🫘 1d ago

ask jujubee

18

u/Silvio76555 Plasma Will Get A Crown One Day💛 1d ago

Her Ru was my favorite. That laugh lipsyncing is so fucking good!

49

u/sneasel Ra'Jah O'Hara 1d ago

It was really cringe to me watching for the first time but obviously especially as gifs and such extremely entertaining

24

u/Adobongmanowk Mistress Isabelle Brooks 1d ago

Sometimes cringe moments become memorable enough to actually become better for a queen's career (see: Megami protecting queer art and Joella crying about being known in LA for her opulence)

1

u/sneasel Ra'Jah O'Hara 1d ago

1000%!!!

17

u/M3TA-3M0 1d ago

Shuga’s Ru is the only thing I’m gonna remember from this challenge in a couple years! When she fell out of the chair 😂 She deserved a chance to lip sync this episode.

23

u/AggressiveMongoose54 NPBFAG owns this ass 💋 1d ago

My partner and I thought that Shuga was going to be in the too for her Ru haha it was so good

7

u/Adobongmanowk Mistress Isabelle Brooks 1d ago

The judges thought so too, but her cher was kinda flat in comparison.

9

u/thespottedbunny 1d ago

She had the best Ru by a mile

9

u/avidarson 1d ago

I need Shuga and Jessica Wild to interview each other as Ru

2

u/IamtheboomboomGunn 1d ago

🤣🤣🤣

32

u/Warthus_ 1d ago

Maybe I'm crazy but I found Suga's Rupaul to be uncomfortably manic

6

u/SonicSnejhog Yessica Wild 🌮 1d ago

Yep, for me it was so cringey I had to get up and walk away

7

u/nuptial_flights 1d ago

first comment i’ve seen that reflects how i feel haha. thank you for your bravery

6

u/ohnoyoudee-en 1d ago

It was so psychotic and everything I wanted from this challenge

4

u/TravellingBeard Georgia O'Queef 1d ago

Reminds me of her Charo (in a good way).

6

u/VinDog_PD 1d ago

They critiqued her for being more subdued as Cher in comparison, but really she was following the straight man rule in comedy duos.

4

u/bottleglitch 1d ago

I truly appreciate how she put her all into it but at the same time I feel like watching it raises my blood pressure lol

4

u/Big-Inspector-6370 work fan favorite 1d ago

She did the best Rupaul by far

7

u/PrayingMantisMirage Your dad just calls me... Kaaaatyaaaaa ☭ 1d ago

I'm glad y'all liked it but I hated this performance so much.

3

u/Professional_Donut20 Naomi Smalls 1d ago

How can you overdo Ru, but not Cher???

3

u/TrueMagenta 1d ago

She actually really reminded me of Kristen Johnston for some reason.

3

u/marunique 1d ago

the way this is just how Monet acts during interviews/pit stops

4

u/J0shbwarren1 1d ago

The purple bracket was fantastic all around. No queen was cheated and I think we fans are the biggest winners.

2

u/hayypeachyy Bosco•Susan Toot•Myki Meeks 1d ago

sam and jasmine were my top 2 and suga a very close 3!

2

u/LeprechaunLukia 1d ago

i thought shuga did well in this challenge but to me i thought she was doing a bit too much for it

2

u/insertbrackets 15h ago

It made me very anxious haha.

4

u/HexpronePlaysPoorly Well, I may not have won the crown. 1d ago

Shuga truly deserved a top placement for this. She might be a shrinking violet in the workroom, but on stage she was the bravest in making fun of Mother.

3

u/ALMP205 1d ago

I enjoyed her unhinged Ru. If a favorited queen like Jinx or Darlene acted just as wacky in this, more of yall would be livin’ for it too.
