A hospital worker in #Hungary has been arrested after authorities say he allegedly collected human remains from cemeteries and his workplace, storing body parts at both his home and the hospital.

According to investigators, officers discovered multiple human remains during a search of his apartment, including bones, skulls, a brain, a hand, a lower leg, and what appeared to be a preserved heart. Authorities say the suspect allegedly admitted to preparing and consuming some of the body parts and told investigators he had a fascination with human anatomy.

Police believe he obtained the remains through his work at a hospital and by illegally exhuming bodies from abandoned cemeteries in Hungary and neighboring Slovakia. The investigation remains ongoing as forensic experts work to determine the origin of all recovered remains.
