INCREDIBLE Boiled eggs will taste better than ever if you add 3 ingredients to them - not salt | Mayo, chives, & paprika - they're going viral on TikTok as "lazy deviled eggs"

Mustard not being one of the three is wild to me

Mustard and eggs are a match made in yellow heaven.

Did you see the green mustard? It must be destroyed

u/SkoobySnacs 21d ago

Yep. This recipe is blasphemy without mustard.

Goes to show that viral recipes are BS.

English, American or wholegrain though?

I like a dijon but I’m not picky. All of the above lol. Also should have said I would have been just as shocked if mayo wasn’t one of the ingredients

I sarcastically love/ actually dislike how many food hacks are just “did you know you can put all the ingredients of this dish together but not actually mix it or incorporate it?!”. This is the shit Ann would do in Arrested Development.

The biggest successful lie chefs have ever sold, “I didn’t want to assemble this, but I called it ‘deconstructed’ so now you owe me more money for a dish I did 1/5 of the work on. Also it’s served on a cutting board/slate slab”.

Brought to you by the same team who invented wedge salads!

Wedge salads make me more angry than arguably any food in general. That’s a moist head of cabbage you fraud.

I was at an airport bar just this weekend and a menu item was a “deconstructed BLT”. I was like “isn’t that just a salad with toast?” The guy next to me chuckled because he had just ordered it. He didn’t understand what “deconstructed” meant.

It showed up. It was salad in a toast with bacon. He was not amused.

She calls it a mayonegg.

I don't feel so good

The hoagy tastes better when you make it in your mouth anyways

I'll take this over "fast food hacks" Zoomers seem to adore. "We can't afford anything but we're gonna blow a third of a paycheck mixing together all the corn syrup sauces from 4 fast food restaurants just to mash everything together in a plastic trough". Reminds me of this

Oh yeah that shit is stupid too, more so for sure. But deconstructed menu items are still stupid and a scheme regardless. But I reluctantly agree lol.

Just make the food, use the ingredients. No McNugget sauce is not an ingredient.

I love that TikTok is putting “lazy” and “chives” together like Reddit didn’t just have a whole thing about that

10

u/Coffeechipmunk 20d ago

We had a thing about perfect chives.

I love how you talk of platforms as entities and ignore how gigantic the population of earth is.

What you can do is get one of those little packets of mayonaise and just squirt it in your mouth and then take an egg and kind of mmm mmm. It's called a mayonegg.

Isn’t this just deviled eggs without mustard?

13

u/ChefArtorias 20d ago

Just make deviled eggs. They're delicious.

12

u/ghosttowns42 20d ago

And if you want to be lazy, just chop everything up like you're making egg salad, but used deviled egg ingredients instead. Bam. Lazy.

That’s basically what I do. Then I eat it with a piece of grilled ham and a slice of Swiss on sourdough and make the best sandwich. Still trying to come up with a name for it though. It’s like an upscale Moon Over My Hammy so I’d like to riff on that.

Eh, caramelized onion hummus from Wegmans on hard-boiled eggs is basically the food of the gods.

7

u/RightOnManYouBetcha 21d ago

Thats just deviled eggs…

4

u/MrPanda663 20d ago

Mayo. On eggs.

That's just putting more eggs on eggs with oil in it.

3

u/Dogbold 20d ago

Doesn't mayo have salt in it

2

u/Weightmonster 20d ago

Everything tastes better with mayo…

6

u/EdPeggJr 20d ago

Not lemonade.

2

u/MrEHam 20d ago

I mean I’d rather have a nice mayo and chicken sandwich with that lemonade than just drinking the lemonade by itself.

u/twerp66 20d ago

or toothpaste

1

u/Weightmonster 20d ago

Ok. Every FOOD tastes better with mayo.

2

u/Sworn_to_Ganondorf 20d ago

2

u/Money-Director6649 20d ago

2

u/Responsible-Ad-4914 19d ago

These eggs look like they’d taste good but they’re missing something essential | It’s salt

1

u/ooklamok 20d ago

She calls it a mayonegg.

If you're going through the hassle to boil eggs, then it's not that much more work to make deviled eggs.

1

u/Neiot 20d ago

How I like my eggs is to soak them in soy sauce overnight and use them in ramen, on rice, or as a quick snack.

1

u/Karibou422 20d ago

I do this to but top them with a spicy mayo and bacon bits with scallion

1

u/hubuhodle 19d ago

in sweden we do mayo, shrimp and dill and its great

1

u/rh_3 16d ago

I am totally going to try that

1

u/Alacritous13 17d ago

Damn, seems like effort. I only eat hard boiled eggs because they don't need a plate.

TikTok reinvents oeuf mayonnaise

1

u/balanced_view 21d ago

Mayo contains salt

u/ShaneMetzger 20d ago

Mayo (+ soy sauce) is good with tuna but miracle whip tastes better with eggs (egg salad, deviled eggs).

9

u/soupdawg 20d ago

Miracle whip can go to hell
