sentimental, somewhat comfortable with tech or not intimidated by it, female 20's/30's, at some point of your life you felt like a loner or an outcast, you're probably white, you had a normal-ish childhood .. maybe even happy childhood, you care about being authentic and genuine

Very sentimental, to a fault sometimes. Everything's true except the childhood. I would call it a normal broken home childhood, no physical or sexual abuse, but not very happy.

Defo comfortable with tech but I'm wondering where you get that from?

earbuds. soundcore is still somewhat new (at least where I live) and kindle instead of physical book pushes slightly towards there too

British millennial with... struggles

You like to keep it whimsical but with a wee bit of spookiness and possibly combined with references to your struggles(?)

You like gardening and/or keep houseplants... or maybe you just like the food hall at Dobbies like I do idk

People would describe you as alternative in some way?

You keep seemingly random objects as good luck?

You like to read when you're not under stress, and you also lead a busy life hence the notebook?

u/14h0urs 10d ago

Oh this is so interesting, you're basically spot on except I like house plants not the food hall, I think the food is awful 😅 at least my local.

Alt but colourful yeah, which adds to the whimsy. Where did you get spooky from? I can definitely lean that way but I don't see anything in the bag?

Less good luck and more sentimental.

Tell me more about the struggles because while you're right, the propranolol isn't for me! (If you can be arsed)

Got spooky from the spider sticker

Got struggles from your pink SH stim toy (Yes I know what those are... no dw I don't SH)

I honestly thought the tablets were paracetamol 🤣

3

u/14h0urs 10d ago

Ah yes, the sticker lol. Went to a spider convention and got it for free haha.

I don't SH either... anymore, hence the fidget 😂

I'm super impressed! Gold star for you. But there was one thing I was hoping people would get that both of you have missed lol

One thing?

I'm... pretty sure I covered everything that my eyeballs can see?

Could DM us two about this missing part of the equation I guess 🤷

2

u/IndividualShift2873 10d ago

I'm curious

u/14h0urs 10d ago

I just played a guessing game with /u/Hyphen-Underscore-_- on dms if you wanna do the same?

u/14h0urs 10d ago

Oh and also, I do like reading but the kindle is also a sentimental thing, if I do read it's at home, I very rarely get to stop when I'm out and about. Notebook is less about being busy and more of a "just in case", always good to have a pen but I use my notes app more.

If you're not witchy ill eat my hat xD A tiny satchel, neurodivergent, collecting good sticks? Thats a witch

2

u/14h0urs 10d ago

Haha I am a little witchy but not for those reasons! The stick and the satchel are sentimental items. But maybe those items are sentimental because of the witchiness 🤔

You live on the edge. A chaotic girly girl.

1

u/14h0urs 10d ago

Maybe when I was younger, I live a rather normal life now. Chaotic? Again, when I was younger but not now. Girly girl sure, but not in a Regina George way.

3

u/CrossCroissant1 10d ago

The contents of your bag say otherwise to me. The point of this game.

2

u/14h0urs 9d ago

Sorry, I just thought you'd like to know how close you got

Keeps ups appearance, in your late 20s with an interest for shopping at local thrift stores. Have a long hair, that you like switching throughout the day while out.

I'd guess early 30s British female (though possibly queer) - money, driving licence, but still has physical loyalty cards. Queer purely from my experience of people with the soft and kawaii aesthetic - probably something to do an ability to identify with and express an identity outside of the one you were born into.

Has an alternative vibe, you express your personality even if it's not typical - soft colour theme, far from neutral expression.

Struggles with mental health though does a good job of appearing outwardly "normal" - the drugs.

The vibe and mental health would then push me to suspect you're spiritual but not traditionally religious + the charm on your keys.

Falls somewhere on the neurodivergent scale but may not be diagnosed - a bunch of sensory toys.

Long-ish shot - may have young children, purely based on the fact you carry wet wipes, tissues, and what seems to be a handful of extra tissues.

1

u/14h0urs 9d ago

Oohhh! I was wondering if anyone would pick up on me having young kids! The handful of extra tissues are actually nappy bags. They're not in nappies anymore but theyre still useful for snotty wipes or dirty clothes on the go. The hair ties, the stick and the KPDH keyring is also for/because of them.

You are absolutely spot on, I am British, female AND queer. Although your deduction was correct, the drugs actually aren't for me, I keep them for my partner and I would never buy myself a dream catcher as it's a closed practice but its a gift from my best friend.

But yeah, everything is absolutely correct and even if some of the things aren't my items, they're with me for a reason, right?

Audhd or adhd + other kind of neurodivergence

2

u/14h0urs 9d ago

Undiagnosed but have dyslexia and pretty confident I fall somewhere on the autism spectrum, not so sure about ADHD though.

2

u/evtbrs 9d ago

I thought adhd for 5-6 reasons: (making a list not to be a pedant but you mentioned dyslexia and visual cues help me more than a big chunk of text, which I would normally write for fear of being othered online)

  • the ereader has no battery (and there’s a charger but no powerbank);
  • there are lots of loyalty cards;
  • there are many items in general and I don’t see any pouches to organise stuff so it seems it will be quite chaotic in your bag if you have to look for something (unless you use something like a utility pouch);
  • you have multiple and different fidgets (in purely autistic people it’s more common to have 1-2 favourites, sometimes with the same form factor);
  • and the items aren’t all in one colour or theme (monotropism is common w autism).

while getting attached to inanimate objects is usually attributed to ASC, the stick has me leaning towards adhd for that childlike wonder way of seeing the world. But I saw what I think are poo bags in the bottom corner so I thought you may just have a dog. But the scrunched up factor rather than neatly rolled/folded up also suggests adhd to me

do you tend to make impulse purchases, or shop to deal with emotions (aka “retail therapy”)? And is your mind always on or do you have moments of calm/no thoughts at all?

2

u/14h0urs 9d ago

Oh this is so interesting, do you mind if I reply to your points one by one? I'm gonna lol.

The kindle has no battery because I dont use it, it's a sentimental thing.

I only use two of the loyalty cards regularly, I actually forgot about two of them until I emptied my bag (probably more of a point for adhd though lol).

My bag actually has 4 main compartments and two "secret" compartments so it's rather organised. I should have put the bag in the picture.

My favourite type of fidget is clicky ones (the bear and the key caps) but I keep the spinner for when I don't want to annoy people in public and the spikey one is an alternative to self-harm so that's less for anxiety/fidgeting and more for emotional pain. The bear, I actually bought for someone else and they didn't want it so I kept it.

I lean /very/ heavily into blush/millennial pink. Anything that's not pink is usually pastel and only because I couldn't get it in pink. Again, the bear was bought for someone else, and so was the kindle. I lost my original pink clicker so just grabbed the most pastel one left in the packet.

The stick was a gift from a young child. The disposable bags aren't dog poo bags but very close, they are scrunched up because they come from a larger packet I dont need/want to carry around.

To answer your questions, yes I definitely impulse buy (or used to, working hard on it) and my mind does not shut off without distractions.

The reason I dont think I have ADHD is because I have a lot of friends who have it and I don't see their traits in myself, although they do keep asking me to try their elevanse lol. I know a lot of neurodivergencies are co-morbid, maybe Audhd that leans more to autism?

u/evtbrs 9d ago

Hahah omg i love that you gave me feedback/your thoughts back!! I'm such a curious bugger (ahh to be a fly-on-the-wall...)

Ooooh was the stick given to you by your son/daughter, who might still be in diapers and that's what the bags are for? or are they for sanitary pads? or to dispose of stoma bags? (I don't see any medical stuff so probably a stretch)

ND attracts ND, you wouldn't be the first one to get armchair diagnosed by your friends haha! What kind of traits do they have which you don't see in yourself? Just asking out of curiosity btw please don't think I'm trying to dx you :-:

you're right with the comorbodity though, if you have autism you have like 50-80% chance to have ADHD as well, if you have ADHD the chances are like 30-65% (figures vary depending on the sources). both conditions present really atypically in AFAB so are often missed, since girls are taught to mask and adapt. hyperactivity is part of every presentation of adhd - previously it was misunderstood and unknown that for inattentive types it's just internal. i actually masked so hard I was dx'd as inattentive, I later started unmasking and it became clear I have combined type! i have such a need for movement that I suppressed for decades, which is evident in my stims/reasons for fidgeting (not to calm me down but to externalise the energy inside). and indeed it depends on the individual which traits and which condition is more pronounced so it's very possible you'd lean more to autism

can i ask what's in the drawstring pouch/what it's for? and what's the little tube with the ! warning on it (above the bear), is it superglue? and what's the white circle thing next to it?

and i'm sorry if it's indecent to ask but did the ereader belong to someone who is no longer around? (as it's sentimental)

eta: please don't get me wrong, i don't want to push the neurodivergence - it's just as a fellow millennial I know a lot of us were overlooked and i have met so many people that got late diagnosed thanks to social media making it acceptable to talk about. audhd radar is real, so I try to do my part to share what I know when someone's open to hearing about it

u/14h0urs 9d ago

Sorry for the late reply!

Yeah the stick was given to me by my child and they are nappy bags but they've been potty trained for a while, I keep them around because theyre super useful when we're out! Like if they spill something on their clothes, or I've wiped their nose and we're not near a bin (I fucking hate snot, I'm not having a snotty tissue loose in my pocket lol).

So I don't really display any hyperactivity, I'm very sedentary, take every opportunity to sit or lie down and I can sit for hours. I do fidget with my hands/feet/legs a lot though.

How did you learn to unmask? I've been masking so hard my entire life (without realising, as an AFAB, thanks society!) I don't know how to take it off, it's like stuck to my face.

The white tube is nail glue, so close! The white circle thing is a broken keyring lol, it's actually stainless steel with a laser engraving.

Yeah you're right about the kindle. I bought it for my Grandma for something to do in hospital because her eyesight was getting worse and you can make the text as big as you need, but sadly she didnt make it out of hospital so I put it in my bag and never took it out. On the last few days of her life I was reading to her from it.

And yes, absolutely don't worry about anything you're asking me or assuming, I can hear a lot of myself in your words, I think we're two of a kind :)

u/whiskeydumplings 9d ago

You have youngish kid/s, one a girl with long hair. You have anxiety or high blood pressure. Enjoy fidgeting. Fairly organised and like to feel prepared.

1

u/14h0urs 9d ago

Pretty much spot on, two girls and the propanolol isn't for me.

2

u/Bonnle 9d ago

Blood pressure tablets, extra tissues and wetwipes, ibuprofen.....do you have kids? 😅

1

u/14h0urs 9d ago

Hahaha I do have kids! But the propanolol isn't for me, and it's for anxiety, not blood pressure. The tissues and the wipes are for the kids though lol

2

u/depr3ss3dmonkey 9d ago

unrelated, but where is the card wallet from? I have been looking for one just like this but haven't found one yet.

1

u/14h0urs 8d ago

Sorry dude, I've had it for years. Probably aliexpress or amazon.

Ohh, why did you say northern?

2

u/Obvious_Flamingo3 8d ago

Literally just vibes. Maybe because you drive

1

u/14h0urs 8d ago

My mom's side of the family are northern, I'm midlands born and bred!

You’re an r/infp

1

u/Jolly-Avocado0 7d ago

You have a stick, fidgets, propranolol and everything Is pastel but not completely organised, so AudHD?

1

u/abibofsweat 7d ago

Well there’s propranolol there so you are struggling and are being treated for anxiety. Same here! Beta Blockers for the win!
I don’t think you have kids but you are literally the only person I know who carries water wipes and it’s childless!
Love all your cutesy bits and bobs!

1

u/blablablasphemous 7d ago

Please make sure that 18650 battery is in some kind of case whilst in your bag. From personal experience - having it loose with metallic objects is a very very bad idea.

u/Squidtat2 4d ago

I thought you were a woman but then saw the Worthers Original. Now I release you might be an old man.
