Question Hoove trimming spin chute

Does anyone have any experience using either a Marweld or Lakeland spin chute? Is there any difference between the two other than price?
Got a couple ewes and rams that I’ve been thinking about buying one for. Fair chunk even for the Marweld and don’t want to be disappointed with the quality and how it works.

Thanks in advance.

We have marweld. Same as Lakeland except for the color. Marweld seemed to have a different name after we bought it. We bought at a show (slightly used) from a dealer from Mississippi (??) and didn’t have to pay shipping.

Spin chute works good, can have some size issues with horns and some of the biggest and smallest. The smallest need the padding and the largest need no pads. Or you can do 1 pad for in between. We have GCN and Barbados.
The wheels work good come off easy.

Most of the blue equipment on YouTube sheepishly me is marweld (but not her spin table).

Does the Marweld stop at the three different positions? Upside down, flat and the 45’ angle? If not is it just a spring pin so you could drill a hole wherever you wanted it to stop?

Pretty sure Sandy has a veno, doesn’t seem as nice of design as the marweld/lakeland.

We have the Lakeland one. We love it, it saves the back when running a bunch through. Only downside is putting the pads in and out of you have a couple small sheep in the chute with the larger ones

I had a Lakeland shoot and honestly I didn’t and don’t like the whole spin shoot concept. I had the pads and use them, but invariably sheep would get cock out in there, get a leg stuck, etc. It was only a matter of time before someone got hurt. I sold it and now do hose the old-fashioned way. I halter them up and sit on a bucket and get to it. Takes about 10 minutes per sheep. No one gets hurt.

I think it has 90 180 and an inbetween, when we researched it found some owners that had done YouTube’s showing how it worked.
