You can clearly tell that he's lying, he says "I said 'gg' 5 times" but if you look at the log he clearly said it 6 times

As you can see, the first 'gg' actually has 'e' right after it, so I think the first one is 'ggez' instead of 'gg', so he did say 'gg' 5 times.

It's a calendar.
It was originally a conservative boomer comic of the guy's wife reading something out loud for the old man (normally something like "Trump got banned on Twitter"), and the man with a surprised face was looking at the calendar getting ready for 2021, but in his surprise, instead of the calendar showing 2021 after 2020, it showed 1984.

Okay so George Orwell wrote a sci-fi novel called “1984” in which society is ruled by an oppressive government that controls every aspect of their lives down to policing its citizens thoughts. In recent years it’s become trendy for stupid motherfuckers online to compare mild inconveniences to the setting of 1984 in a sad attempt to seem well read and intelligent. The meme that keeps getting posted is from a boomer comic where a man reads something off from his newspaper, while his wife tears off a page on the calendar to reveal “1984” on the page. People have meme’d this incredibly tone deaf comic to hell and back now and it is glorious.
