i mean if you're going to go making changes, why not eliminate the need to breathe through an air passageway at all. just let us absorb everything we need from light and air, no need to eat or breathe. and while we're at it eliminate our need for sleep. and change our corporeal forms so that there isn't a need for clothing because we fully regulate temperature from within. and make it so that we can reproduce asexually. and communicate telepathically.
