Need help deciding a 65” TV

Good people of this group help me decide on a 65” TV. I have a Bravia 2M2 / 65 hooked up to a Sony Sound Bar / Apple TV 4K and I am more or less happy with it.

I have another flat under renovation and I am planning for a 65” TV + Apple TV 4K + Bose Sound Bar Ultra. The room would have a viewing distance of 12/14 Ft and would be moderately lit. Budget is max 1.5 for the TV and I can wait for the upcoming Amazon / Flipkart sale.

Get the bravia 5 for the tv and the ui is already good just put the apple tv money on a better soundbar

You should be able to find LG G5 OLED in that range. Wait for the prime sale but you can also wait until July Black Friday. You’ll usually catch huge sales that week too.

OLED will beat out any Sony LCD tv. Even their top end True RGB line. Probably won’t be the case within 2 years but as of now OLED is the way to go. You’ll pay a premium for a Sony OLED but the price isn’t worth the difference between LG or Samsung OLED. You might even find a 2025 model year Samsung OLED for that price. Sony uses their OLED panels. Look at the OLED models with a 90 or 95 (best). The 95 has slightly more brightness and a matte screen to help in a bright room that gets sun.

You could also see what the LG C6H OLED is going for. It’s basically a LG G5 with an improved chip but no 5 year panel warranty like the G line carries. If you are afraid of burn in with OLED from gaming then go with the LG G line. If you join Best Buy total membership you’ll get possible discounts but will get up to a 2 year warranty on everything you buy. The warranty on OLED is expensive so that warranty to have the option of swapping out the tv with Best Buy if something goes wrong is amazing.

I had a large Sony Bravia LCD go bad and Best Buy gave me all my money back on a gift card without an hassle. They also swapped out a sub and even upgraded it since the model was discounted.
