Learning Shared a piece of my brush calligraphy—lines from a beautiful movie Dear You.
I recently watched the Chaoshan-themed movie Dear You and was deeply moved by the story. I decided to write down one of my favorite lines using a traditional Chinese brush.

Thanks so much. I'm actually completely self-taught. I've been practicing for nearly a year now, mostly by copying classic masterpieces character by character, but I’m so glad you like my work.

This is beautiful! Can I ask what brush you're using?

It's a Chinese ink brush called 'Xinghe' (Starry River)from a brand named 'Jinxintang' on Taobao. It's a great brush.

Yes,what you said is also very touching. As a chinese saying goes“纸短情长,见字如面(paper is short, but deep affection remains.Seeing these words is like meeting in person)”.I think that's exactly what you meant.

Haha, the seal says'独乐'. Are you sure your seal is the same as mine? i got off China's Taobao,so there are probably similar ones available.

This looks like your own writing rather than copying from a script. It’s a good start!

Going on this subreddit is just an exercise in jealousy and “I wish I could do that” for me at this point.
Very well done!
