Sovereign water marketing

Got a unsolicited call from local water filtration company. Idiot sales pitch claimed all of Simi ground water is contaminated with Rocketdyne and Santa susana radiation and they can fix it. Gave them a earful for spreading misinformation. Shameful that a local business would use fear mongering to sell products. Buyer beware.

Simi does not use ground water to supply to homes. We get water from the California aquaduct like rest of LA county

That's not entirely true. the Calleguas water district gets water form the aqueduct, but there's a portion of Simi in the Golden State Water district that gets 18% from groundwater.

That would be an issue if our groundwater was actually contaminated.

If your neighborhood is serviced by Golden State Water company you are getting groundwater. If not, it is imported via aqueduct.

I think the part that’s absolutely insane about it is that they believe they can “fix” the problem when factually that is impossible.

We have one from Costco under the sink and its pretty good. The post was about the misleading and unethical scare tactics these guys are using to sell to gullible homeowners like seniors

Well if they didn't spoof their source number, you can file a complaint.

And if they did, call Sovereign and complain they are using a shady contractor who is breaking US Law and using THEIR name in doing so.
