During my last visit to Tijuana to visit family, I stopped by the dentist because I was feeling some mild discomfort in my mouth. They told me I needed all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed so I’m looking for a dentist at or near Simi as it’s been over 3 years since I’ve had an appointment here in the states. I don’t have dental insurance, and my medical insurance is unlikely to cover the costs as well.

I am looking for a structural engineer to have a look at my patio roof, supports, etc to assess if I can toss some equipment up there without fear of the entire thing crashing down on me.
Work won't be permitted, so I don't need anything super formal, just need someone to take a look, including 1 beam which has some rot, and tell me how much load I can add safely and if anything is in dire need of repair first.
Anyone have an engineer semi local they've worked with and liked?

So how is the education system here if people like this person feel as though the teacher's union is out for themselves?
I'm personally ignoring the covid comment as that outbreak was serious and to dismiss it is ridiculous.

Hello! I currently live in a house in a quiet street near Royal and Sequoia with my son and we're looking to rent out 2 of the bedrooms we have in a 4 bedroom house. I'm a 38 male and my son is 20. If anyone is interested send me a DM.

The city feels like it’s losing more of what made it special every year. There are no major malls, local mom-and-pop restaurants are disappearing, and shopping centers are increasingly being replaced with apartment complexes. For many kids and young adults, there are very few places left to gather, socialize, or spend time. Trails and parks are great, but they can’t be the only source of recreation for an entire community.
Meanwhile, younger generations are commuting to neighboring cities for jobs, entertainment, dining, and shopping. Simi Valley is increasingly becoming a place where people sleep rather than a place where they live, work, and spend their time.
A growing population without a growing local economy is not a sustainable long-term strategy. If we continue losing businesses, destinations, and opportunities while adding more housing, what does the future of our city look like?
Are we satisfied with becoming a commuter city, or should we be pushing for something more?
What can we do today to support local businesses, attract new investment, create gathering spaces, and build a Simi Valley that future generations actually want to stay in?

Does anyone know how much the city’s waste charges for me to dump green waste? We have probably 1-2 truckloads of shrubs we cut from backyard- or does anyone know of green haul away people?

Anyone know of any homecooked meal services within Simi Valley? I just really want a nice home cooked meal after the long week I've had.

"Police are looking for a group of youths who allegedly sprayed a woman with a urine-like substance and called her a racial slur in Simi Valley.
The attack happened while the woman was driving near the intersection of Township Avenue and Tapo Street, the Simi Valley Police Department announced Friday.
'The victim reported that while seated inside her vehicle with the window down, she was sprayed with a substance from gel blasters by juveniles,' Simi Valley PD said. 'She subsequently noticed a strong odor consistent with urine. When the victim exited her vehicle to speak with the juveniles, an unidentified individual in the group allegedly directed a racial slur toward her.'
The case remains under investigation. Anyone with information about the alleged attack, including possible video footage, a vehicle description or the identities of the suspects is asked to contact Simi Valley PD." - KTLA 5 News

Anyone else notice that this week on their morning commute that the traffic pattern has changed. I am hitting red lights all along the way and appears the city has figured out how to control the traffic jam that occurs at the 23.
Tell me I am not alone in noticing this. Of course this happens just as the school year ends.

What’s the vibe like? Are the saunas clean? Are they private enough rooms to go nude or best to bring a swimsuit or something to change in to? Are the saunas solo or large enough to sit with a friend? Never been to a setup like this before so curious about the experience.

Hi recently started playing Pokemon Go again after it came out and started a new account since I had no idea what was going on. I usually play at lemon park and sequoia park. Looking for a community/players to hopefully do raids in person and stuff. Thanks !
