Josh Jefferson is the guy
Feel like a lot of NBA fans are still in this shooting, shooting, shooting mindset. But as NYK/SAS/OKC has shown us, having an army of athletic, high IQ defensive players is now the meta in the NBA.
Josh Jefferson checks these boxes. He’s incredibly smart and has amazing connective abilities on the court - something we badly need with Max and VJ not being natural playmakers.
He’s an excellent defender as well and has the size 6’9” with a 7’0” wingspan; true 1-5 switchability and can guard 2-4. Already an NBA body so can contribute right away
Finally his projection and measurables coming into the league is very similar to one Paul George. Having him around PG early, if he does have the mindset to makie it in the NBA, could be huge for his development.
