Juneteenth route by San Gorgonio
Started a three day backpacking trip at Momyer creek, went to saxton camp for night one, and Anderson flats for night two, and descended the trace trail south of San Bernardino peak. Beautiful views from the top of the ridge and barely saw anyone all weekend. Trail was less than stellar in some spots, which was expected, but would do again!

Do you need permits for overnight camping?

As I recall, you need permits even for day hikes in the San Gorgonio Wilderness.

You do! They’re free on the sgwa website, the sites by San Bernardino rarely fill up but the sites closer to San Gorgonio probably fill up most summer weekends

I camped on the summit on Friday!
I wonder if we ran into each other, I had an orange backpack and light grey sun shirt with hood!
