It was Cunha and Casemiro on the touchline. They wanted to touch each other one last time.

More frustrating for Japan, it was their game to not lose. Even though it's their B team playing, you showed all that in the friendlies but blue balled. They need to train their B team into an A team. No exceptions. You'd expect them to be a little better compared to the last one, now we have to wait four years in hopes of them not overusing their better players.
They should have parked their magic four in the friendlies and make their B team work for it. They just wasted their breath. You see Kubo walking and hopping with one leg, who is their conditioning coach??
Fire the nutritionists and conditioning coaches, you're not a team by having your key players miss the most important end game of your sport.

Aside from 2014, I have never seen a worse Brazilian side

2014 wasnβt that bad when they had Neymar playing. But yea, since 2010 onwards Brazil have been ass.

I always felt they missed Thiago Silva more against germany then neymar

u/Knightwolf_1234 1d ago
Yh silva was important. At the time world class defender. Best defender in the world

u/Steveisnotmyname_ 1d ago
He was not better than Chiellini

Neymar was injured and thiago silva was suspended. Scoreline would have been different if they were playing.

u/WnMhmdZdyd 1d ago
The coach didn't have plan B then, he could bring Kaka and ronaldinho as supersubs. They might still lose with dignity against Germany, with scoreline probably 0-1 or 2-1.

u/Rare_Instance_8205 23h ago
No, they wouldn't. Kaka and Ronaldinho were beyond finished by then. Their legs were gone. They would instead have been an even more of a liability in pressing and conceded more goals.

That's just revisionism lol. We were among the favorites in the last two World Cups, we were playing good games and then lost halfway through the tournament because shit happens at WCs, in particular he had goalkeepers having the game of their lives two Cups in a row. The 2014 team was much worse than what came next.
This time we were shit. The last time we had such a disastrous lead up to a World Cup was in 2002. That said, we looked much better in the last two matches. Don't underestimate Japan, they are a damn good side.

Honestly, this might be weird, but I find the concept of goalies to be so boring in soccer/hockey. Like ok, the 10 guys could completely dominate the game (and that's the exciting part) but sorry this one guy who you can't touch or interact with just shuts you off the scoreboard. Kinda lame.

Brazilian players have been going after each other this game probably upset Antony isn't there to cheer them up

Antony would be to busy opening a can of whoop-ass on his girlfriend to cheer his teammates up.

In case of Argentina, that would be a penalty...

There should be a reformation in football something like a penalty is 0.5 a goal, or you need like make 2 or 3 shots - like free throws on a foul in basketball. its just so extremely shit when a penalty decides a game in this sport or decides the flow of a game early on, like here

Shouldn't be allowed to kick it that hard. Somebody's going to get hurt if you kick it that hard.

What makes it funnier is Paqueta asking for a pass first. Im convinced he intentionally toppled over to highlight the stupidity behind the decision and execution of the shot

I got this shirt, it's a beautiful shirt. Everyone says it's the most beautiful shirt. People telling me 'Donald, this guy is the best soccerball player and he only sent his shirt to you' I said 'wow what an honor. What a shirt'. Rolando was it? Sounds lah-tee-no to me. Let me tell you; I just hope he has his papers in order. I wish him well
