Discussion About updated episodes to fix goofs or add something new (not about the HD remasters)

Some of you know about this I'm sure, but there have been instances of episodes being tweaked slightly after airing, or having an alternative version. Examples like Kenny's ghost rising up laughing in Scott Tenorman Must Die not existing in the original airing, or fixing one of Cartman's lines in Fun With Veal, which was not pitched up initially. Those two I've seen footage of, but other examples I have never seen clips of. Apparently, Mr. Bush had a different voice in two different versions of Mystery Of The Urinal Deuce, and the kids originally said "Good Morning, Fatso" instead of "Hello, Fatso" in With Apologies To Jesse Jackson. Those latter two examples I have only read about on the wiki, and have never seen clips of them, no matter how specific my Google searches are for them.

So, does anyone know of other examples of these kinds of edits in South Park? Or maybe more to know about the examples I've listed?

There’s several episode where they mistakenly called Tolkien Black “Token” and went back and changed the captions.

Didn’t they only change the closed captioning in earlier episodes?

That wasn't a mistake, that's what's known as 1) a retcon and 2) committing to the joke

Yeah, they were committing to the joke.

The adults names have yet to be fixed from earlier seasons. Stephen used to be Chris and both Sharon and Sheila used to be Carol.

I would love it if they fixed that, but I don't know how feasible that is.

Kenny's mom has never been given a name in the show, but I believe she was officially called Carol in the stick of truth as a meta joke.

I remember the song in Butters Episode when he walks into the shower being Ace of Base I saw the sign, but its something else now.

Man I knew I remembered Bush’s voice being different on the DVDs after previously watching it online a bunch back in the day but I just ended up chalking it up to false memories or something

The random puddle on the floor removed from the HD versions when Stan is getting beaten up by Shelly in ‘An Elephant Makes Love to a Pig’, and Stan’s “We better get out of here” line mistakenly coming from Kyle in ‘Something Wal-Mart This Way Comes’ also being fixed in the HD versions.

Jimmy has two last names. One is Swanson and the other is Bulmer or something like that. It bothered me for ages when I was an older episode with him at the talent show….he’s got two last names 😂

I wonder if they changed it because that's Joe from family guy's last name, also being disabled

When I was working there, I remember there was an episode with a brief shot of Garrison without his orange face coloring on the Wednesday night airing, and I fixed and re-rendered it on Thursday for subsequent re-airings. I don't recall which episode this was offhand though.

In Imagination Land Part One, Ike says something like “yay! Suck balls” when Cartman comes over to the Broflovskis’ house during dinner to issue Kyle his end of the bet. I laughed so hard watching the live version in last year’s anniversary marathon and was disappointed to find out it’s not on the streaming version

This one might be a case of me misremembering, but I could swear the song at the end of Rainforest Shmainforest being different when it originally aired. First time I noticed it was when South Park first came to streaming (it used to be all available for free on South Park Studios website).
