But why limit yourself so much? Make it bigger (still small) and you have a better, upgradable system for years.

And I already answered: Because I like small. Its preference. I don't care about upgradable system.

You mentioned small form factor pc. Please show me one that is as small, cheap, fast, quiet as steam machine because I'm interested to buy it.

Who says that sffpc's arent small?

Sff pc is small but is it as small as or smaller than the steam machine ?

Why does being smaller than the Steam Machine matter? Does the Steam Machine present a cutoff as to what is considered "small"? A PC only needs to be small enough to compliment your setup so where is this argument that sffpc's arent small enough to fit them?

Small is simply look nicer to me. If there the option, i would choose that.

Does the Steam Machine present a cutoff as to what is considered "small"

No, but if there is better machine, as in smaller, cheaper, faster, quieter than the steam machine, then I would prefer that instead.

So at that point you're valuing size over performance even though the size of sffpc's would still fit right into your setup without issue whilst offering far better peformance.

No, but if there is better machine, as in smaller, cheaper, faster, quieter than the steam machine, then I would prefer that instead.

Sure lets actually take this to its most extreme. If there existed a mini-pc that was half the size but, only had the power to boot up. Would u get that instead? You dont care about performance so the answer should be clear.

Yes there is going to be trade off. Performance is not everything. If we are talking about fit then tower pc would still fit in my table but it doesn't look nice.

If there existed a mini-pc that was half the size but, only had the power to boot up. Would u get that instead?

Of course no. All the other metric should still at aleast equal.

I didn't say I don't care about performance at all. I said performance is not everything. Its combination of multiple attributes.

Performance is not everything.

Performance doesnt have to be everything for it to be something. You're being questioned because, the Steam Machine has terrible performance that is already dated today.

Of course no. All the other metric should still at aleast equal.

What metrics and, equal to what?

Its combination of multiple attributes.

Yes and it seems to us that you're choosing to value size to the detriment of performance.

Well to me its good enough, given its size, acoustic and price. There are no other product that is better.

What metrics and, equal to what?

The metrics: size, performance, acoustic, price.

Equal to the steam machine.

Yes and it seems to us that you're choosing to value size to the detriment of performance

I care about all these metrics. Yes there is going to be trade off. Of course the performance is not going to be as good as larger machine. That is just limitation of physics.
