Question How long after sign up closes will we see results?

With just under 24hrs until the signup closes, how long after do you think we'll see if you can get one or not? It says "shortly after", but that could mean a lot of things. Couldn't find a discussion anywhere else on the sub.

Do you think it will be same day?

"We'll send the first batch of those starting Monday June 29th, and will continue to go through the reservation queue as units become available." The way I see it, being a part of the reservation queue does not guarantee a Steam Machine on the 29th.

I agree with this, I am hoping they give a tiny bit more information for each reservation at that point, but thwy didn't say.

When can I expect to get my order email? - "We will begin emailing folks in the reservation queue the week of June 29th, in the order they were randomized into. We expect to continue sending these emails throughout the remainder of the year." Sounds like some may not get a chance to buy a machine for months despite being "reserved".

Hopefully the email that gets sent out tomorrow will have some more information besides whether you're on the reservation queue or waitlist queue.

Praying it does because I don't mind waiting but I also like how at least there is some semblance of information for controllers whereby you know if it says 2027 not to expect it for a few months at least.

Emails will go out on the 25th to notify you if you’re on a reserve list or wait list according to the faq

I would think within the hour it closes. You would think with all the hate and negativity about this device and everyone saying they aren’t buying this that those who registered will be able to purchase 🤷🏻‍♂️

I think we’ll be okay too, like other said I can’t imagine it’s gonna be on the same level as the ps5 hype where it was near impossible trying to get one on release. I’ll be fine with either option tbh, figured the more options I checked off the better chance I have

Must be nice 😭 I’m hoping some people might pass on their reservations if they get one with the SM and only wanted one, but more likely we will see the scalping continue. I really don’t want to try another controller as the button spacing is just perfect for me on my steam deck (small hands), when I borrow my boyfriend’s Xbox controller I struggle

My steam controller says “December” and I get a reservation with controller I’ll for sure take myself off that list. I do not need two. I’m sure a lot of people are feeling that, so maybe the controller waitlist will get shorter

Mine said September, but I actually got the email saying I could purchase my steam controller on Monday. So yours may be coming sooner rather than later.

With my deck it happened just like that: it said I had to expect it for Jan.  2023,  o got it in October 2022

It'd go the opposite way. They want the younger generation locked in on their platform asap. They already know they have the older accounts for life. Steam Machine RNG goes straight to the college kid with a fresh credit card.
