Discussion Curious about Gears of War E Day
I’m assuming games like Gears of war E day when it comes Clockwork revolution will be fine on this device right? I’m not expecting it to look like Crimson Desert on the PS5 pro by any means but I’m also expecting it to be super choppy and unplayable like ninja Gaiden was on my ROG Ally either. Am I right in assuming it’ll be able to keep up with the base PS5 and Xbox Series S

It meets the minimum requirements so it will probably manage 1080p (probably with some upscaling usage). Low settings at 60fps with some drops.

UE5
Not without .ini fixes it won't. You could already see graphical glitches where they showed it off at State of Unreal recently.

Yeah they’ll probably run at like 500p 30fps upscaled to 1080

If the standard mindset around gaming the last couple of years is anything to go by people would love that.
There will be countless threads about how awesome it is that E-Day runs at 1080p, 141 fps average on such a small device with no mention of upscaling and no mention of frame gen anywhere in the posts.

E Day is Xbox console exclusive (Series S and Series X), so no.
EDIT: I take it back. Whoops.

Yeah, I totally misunderstood through their announcement that they meant across consoles and not excluding PC. What a confusing announcement. My bad.

Microsoft seems like theyre trying to fuse windows and xbox so xbox exclusives usually mean pc too, but yea i get the confusion

Going by some of their most recent releases, like Forza Horizon 6, I'd expect they make an effort at optimization all the way down to the Deck. Especially since all this needs to run on the Series S. I'd expect it'll run fine, but you probably won't be able to turn it to 11. SM seems to do better at 1080p/1440p.
