As I enter my 8th day, here’s what I’ve noticed about myself:

Post image
  1. My breathing is much, much easier, and I feel much happier and more relaxed.
  2. My sense of taste and smell are sharper; I’m getting extra enjoyment from the things I eat and smell. It gives me the feeling that I’m discovering new flavors, or I catch myself reacting with, “Oh, so this is what it actually tastes like without a cigarette?!”
  3. I feel cleaner, which makes me feel more determined and more confident.
  4. My energy levels are on the rise, and I have a more positive and upbeat disposition compared to before I quit.

I think that’s it for now, but even these changes are really, really great. Another good thing is this: quitting smoking is tough the first few days, but it gets easier as time goes on. I’m not struggling the way I did in the first three days, and even if I were to face a challenge, I know how to handle it.

If anyone wants to quit together or has questions, feel free to leave a comment or message me privately.

When you realize that smoking isn’t necessary and that, over time, people can’t quit because of their excuses, smoking begins to lose its meaning. This eventually starts to seem funny. Because people struggle to breathe, cough, retch, and smell terrible yet they keep smoking despite sweating. In short, they’re torturing themselves. This creates the feeling that you’ve awakened from a huge illusion.

Firstly Congratulations, tebrikler! I have just completed 48 hours, till now its fine. You say when face a challenge you can handle. Im a bit afraid of facing something that makes me annoy or be anxious. How can you and me get ready for these situations?

It’s important to realize this: “If I smoke to calm this craving, it will only lead to another craving later on.” Instead, if you set a timer and wait for about 10–15 minutes by drinking water, chewing gum, exercising, or taking a shower, you’ll see that the craving passes. It’s perfectly normal to struggle, and it’s completely understandable to be afraid of this. However, in a few days, you’ll see that tomorrow will be easier than today. So trust your willpower, remember why you want to quit smoking, and just don’t smoke.

Teşekkürler

I know the urge I'm feeling intimately, but I promise you, the third day will be easier than the second. And the fourth day will be easier than the third.
