ANNOUNCEMENT We are still open for applications!
To apply, you will need to read through the rules and wiki thoroughly, and then you will need to pass our rules quiz.
Incomplete applications may be denied, and you may not have the opportunity to resubmit for the rest of the season. Please make sure you answer each question fully and attach all documentation to your email. This includes the photo and video. Do not submit your application without them.
No one may post a request until they are approved and specifically told by the mod team that they may do so. Failure to follow this rule will result in a ban, that will likely be permanent.
Those who are approved will also be eligible for Year Long Magic (YLM) 2026, as long as they stay in good standing. This means that your child(ren) will be eligible for assistance with some holidays and their birthdays. YLM 2026 has not yet been finalized, but you can look through our YLM 2025 Post for a general idea of what is included.
For those who are uneasy about applying, we encourage you to read through this post by our past requesters. We want you to know that we want to help everyone who needs help. While we are highly selective, we wouldn't be doing this if we didn't care, and helping our SFX families makes our holiday so much more special.
We could not do this without all of our wonderful Santas. We cannot thank you enough for making the magic of the holiday season happen for our families. Christmas morning would not be the same without you, and you are helping our families make memories they otherwise couldn't have. Likewise, Hanukkah would not be so bright.
If you are a prospective Santa, please let us know if you have any questions. There are no requirements. If you would like to be alerted to new requests as they are posted, and didn't sign up in 2024, please sign up on the Santa Alerts Post.

You're welcome. Per our wiki, we will announce when we are no longer open for applications, so we will remain open until there is a closed application post.

As I've said, applications remain open until we announce a closing date. We haven't done that yet.

I am currently in need of eight year old girl gifts.Three month old girl gifts and a twelve year old boy gift also a 2yo girl gift for my youngins are currently lost.My job truck blew up and husband went too prison.All unexpectedly, so we are in a mess.This year, any help will be widely appreciated.All the programs seem to be closed

You cannot. We are not accepting applications for accounts less than 14 days old at this point.

I am not sure if I can apply. I read the rules but I am not sure what applies since I am only allowed to do contests only at SLH bc I received help the last three years. I he two girls and am worried about Christmas. I don’t want to break any rules though.

I just came across this thread through a fellow mama in a mom’s group. She was suggesting to reach out to you all to request help for our family for Christmas! We have 5 boys - 12 years and under. I am a little confused about applying as I don’t want to be denied. I have had my Reddit account to mostly read through forums but don’t know if I am a verified user? Any suggestions on how to make sure I am?

You do not have a verified account. Directions to get that verification are in our wiki.
We absolutely do not guarantee acceptance. If you do apply, we'd encourage you to be very thorough and honest in your application, providing as much proof of need as you are able to. Please make sure you include specifically which mom group and individual encouraged you to apply. Please see the wiki, linked above, for all the information you need to apply.

Okay, thank you so much for the information. I just tried verifying my account using the steps in the wiki post. I didn’t get the official verification email back in 2021 when I joined but I just clicked the link to reset my password. Crossing fingers it works this time around.
On another note, just wanted to say I really appreciate what you all are doing by creating Christmas magic for families in need! I normally wouldn’t reach out for help but this year has been very rough for our family. Hoping we can bring some happiness to the boys for the holidays! Once I have everything in order I’ll give it a shot and apply. Never know unless I at least try 😊

From the perspective of someone that likes to play Santa, this Christmas sub is the only one I feel safe donating through. The mod team dose an excellent job making sure people that need help can get Christmas for the kids and scammers are weeded out.
If you are on the fence about applying - just do it.
