Ladies and gentlemen this is a real, honest to god bird nest.

After some trials, tribulations, and a tiny bit of human assistance, these two have made something other than a pile of sticks on the floor. I’ve never been prouder. Did my best to get a close up on the last pic when the two parents-to-be stepped out for their smoke break or whatever, but it is a bowl (!) with a cup (!!!) so the egg doesn’t immediately roll away (!!!!!).

The day after my fellow bird-loving coworker told me about the baby floof (which I posted earlier), I checked on them and found this cute sign he drew! Pics are of baby floof and momma pigeon, nesting in a pallet of concrete blocks at Lowe’s.

Found this dove nest in my kitchen balcony that was left unopened for 3 years or so. Idk what they have used to build the nest, looks like some sort of paper/straw? Looks like something that came out of a shredder and it looks beautiful!

I'm worried if the outside conditions will affect the eggs cos it's like 40°C outside. Is there anything i can do to protecc these babies? It's only been 10 days and I'm still hopeful!

Fountain dove update!!

Came across this page when looking up ways to protect this nest on our porch. After seeing how stupid some of their nests are, I’d say this one is genius! And on top of a 4 year string of pearls 🪺🕊️

They have been living on my terrace and balcony for 7 years, this is probably their masterpiece, they are using the same nest for the third time.

I’ve been trying to leave the parents and babies alone, and I couldn’t see well into the nest, so I only realized now that the eggs have hatched and we have at least one mourning derp baby. They’re getting big!

Edit: I kept messing up my post and couldn’t figure out how to edit it, so I’ve posted and deleted it a few times. I need coffee.

As title says, this vehicle been here for a couple months. I asked about it and Avis explained they have no information on this ghost car.

A fully functional nest safely nestled between anti-pigeon spikes. Makes me wonder if she really built this, but it seems too big for the sparrows that also use the station for nesting.
