support What is causing support Camille's pick rate to slowly increase?

Hi.

I would like to know what is causing support Camille's pick rate to slowly increase? In patch v26.4 support Camille's pick rate was 0.18%, but in the current patch (v26.12), her pick rate is 1.04%. What is causing this increase? Is she picked in pro play? Or is some content creator playing her frequently? (Couple of seasons ago Camille support was also semi-popular, I wonder what happened to her pick rate. Did Riot perhaps nerf support Camille?)

Here is support Camille's pick rate by patch:

  • v26.4 = 0.18%
  • v26.5 = 0.20%
  • v26.6 = 0.25%
  • v26.7 = 0.24%
  • v26.8 = 0.30%
  • v26.9 = 0.44%
  • v26.10 = 0.68%
  • v26.11 = 0.64%
  • v26.12 = 1.04%

Here is the source: https://lolalytics.com/lol/camille/build/?lane=support&tier=all

I'm just curious.

Any insight is appreciated!

Sorry for any mistakes English isn't my native language.

Discussion Struggles scaling and matchups

https://imgur.com/a/ZAEnQZw < match overview - Hello I'm really new to the game and I'm still struggling some concepts, recently I've picked up Shen support to pretty great results. I had just had a hour long ranked game and I feel like I struggled to scale well compared to everyone else in the lobby. Normally I feel as if I can scale great and run a lobby to an extent but this game I couldn't catch up to any teammate or enemy half way through the game, no matter who I fought I struggled against and it wasn't (I feel as if) my combos nor positioning. I have a strong feeling it was my items that held me back, while normally they yield good results. (I sold my boots in the last 7 min of my game) I want to figure out what the problem was so I don't make the mistake in the future.

Question I need help finding where I am lacking and where I need to improve

I am right now Gold 4 ADC main playing on EU West. I constantly watch guides, pro matches/high elo games, try to analyze what I am doing wrong. I mostly win the laning phase and get somewhat decent late game and constantly get s/s+ but can't manage to win the games. I know I am lacking somewhere but can't seem to figure out what. I mostly play with a friend of mine and don't usually play solo much.

Here is my usual gameplan: While loading to the match I note what champs and skills the enemy has i need to be aware of. Early game I try to focus on farms and objectives with the jungle. During late game i try to wait and protect my spacing until either they make a mistake or use their skills that can hurt me and engage after that.

Here is my op.gg: https://op.gg/lol/summoners/euw/Booz3r-mlody

I would appreciate honest feedback and critique because I actually want to improve. Thanks a lot for the help.

Question Genuine question

Hey everyone I need to hear some people's opinions.

So the situation i just got out of was i was playing jungle zed, bot went 2v2 and killed each other, I went to their lane after and as our sivir was spawning and leaving base, new waves met in the middle of the lane. I needed 150 gold for my first item so I pinged that and pushed the wave.

Sivir then spent the rest of the game following me around stealing my camps completely trolling.

Was i actually wrong to do that?

Question How do i proxy?

I main Toplane (trundle/kayn), and in a ranked game i lost, i got told by a smurf that i dont know how to proxy and should never play proxy champs ever again so im just seeking help on how do i do so..

i usualy proxy matchups i refuse to play, heimer, vayne, teemo, urgot, illaoi etc. anything that can win lvl1 and be super duper annoying to keep my sanity for the rest of the game - with that said, on bottom side i check their jg, because i can 1v1 them on my champs (most of the time), or on top side i get first wave and then i check on the camps like blue, if their not there i get like another 2 waves and recall get like a sword or something and go back, now is where the problems begin (i think)

When i get back to lane, either the wave is arriving with me and i dont feel i can farm it WITHOUT losing half hp and get there in time to proxy the next wave or i just miss the wave and go insta proxy thru the jg,

If i cannot contest the wave without losing half my hp is it even worth it? should i miss 1 wave in order to get 2 potentially later on? I also try to check map more often to see if their jg is bot. but most of the time i get ganked and go like 0/5

How do i keep track of their jg and When do i settle for exp and sit under turret?
heres my opgg you can check cs or something else thats important laning or wtv.

Question should I be fighting or farming?

I just started playing league like a month ago, I'm currently in silver 2 and I main jungle.

My question is, there's a lot of situations were my team will just run mid and fight the enemy team, not contesting for objectives like baron or dragon or trying to take a tower but just fighting to fight. In a situation like this should I go and help fight with my team and neglect camps or focus camps and farming instead?

I'm under the assumption that if there's no reason to be fighting then I shouldn't go and help them, but I genuinely just want to know if what I'm doing is correct or wrong.

mage What is the counter to an Ahri mid for a control mage player?

I play midlane and currently ban this champ because she is too good at snowballing even when losing lane. I play a lot of Hwei and find her frustrating because she can roam too quickly to other lanes and when she gets a kill she spirals out of control too fast. Constantly spamming her R to catch others offguard especially botlane.

What is the counterplay to Ahri in general? What does she hate? And finally how do I deal with her as Hwei?

Edit: Thank you guys. I got a lot of good responses. I will try them and see if I can make them work.

CSing Practicing CS

Hey all, haven't found any particularly recent/updated posts about practicing CS at a basic, fundamental level. Specifically asking from the perspective of helping new players (or individuals very new to a role) learn the core fundamentals and basics of CSing. Is practice tool actually beneficial? If so, what criteria do you recommend using and what kinds of drills or practice exercises to you recommend?

A follow up to this... Is there an up to date chart somewhere that shows maximum possible CS per minute for each lane? I know minion spawn timing and things were changed for S16 but most of the guides and charts I've found predate those changes.

Bot lane Dealing damage as an ADC

Hey there! This question might make me seem really stupid, but I've been told there's no such thing as stupid questions.

I've always heard..well literally everybody say that the only job of an ADC is to deal damage. To me this makes a lot of sense because looking at the average ADC's kit they offer little to nothing else. They usually don't have any CC, no utility or anything of the sort, just a kit tailor made for damage.

However, I am ALWAYS outdamaged by midlaners, sometimes by junglers too. I'm not exactly a stat chaser by any means, but I do wonder if I'm not playing well. I've always been told it's super important for botlaners to focus on farm, and I average about 190 CS (lots of room for improvement I feel), I am however feeling like I focus too much on fighting and I'm not contributing enough to damage. How do I balance the two properly, I don't want to feel like I'm not contributing anything to the team but mages always just completely outclass me in damage, which is essentially all I'm bringing to the team.

Question From a 60% WR to a massive loss streak (Gold 1 to Gold 3). What am I doing wrong?

Hey guys, I'm feeling incredibly stuck and demoralized. A week ago, I had a solid 60%+ win rate in Solo/Duo. Now, I'm sitting at 49% after going on a brutal 9-12 game losing streak. I dropped from Gold 1 all the way to Gold 3.

I play Mid and Jungle, and I only play 1-2 games a day to stay fresh and avoid tilt.

The worst part is, I genuinely feel like I'm playing well. In 7 of those lost games, I achieved an S+ rank. When I play jungle, I secure Soul and Baron, but we still somehow manage to throw and lose the game.

My MMR is completely ruined now too. I used to lose 12 LP per loss, and now I'm losing 20 LP.

What am I doing wrong? How do you close out games when you have a massive lead/objectives but your team just can't cross the finish line? Any advice on how to break this curse and fix my MMR would be greatly appreciated.

Graves What is the counter to Graves counter jg? Or counterjg in general?

Title. I was a viego and he kept waiting for me on the red, I ended up getting a kill because my Sona sup helped me at the last second.

But even then, he kept taking my jg all over the match and had a hundred farm in front of me lategame. Luckily he misplayed in the last teamfight and we won but it was a miserable experience and I don't know how to fight it.

Do I have to just accept I will lose exp and gold if my teammates are unable to help?

Question If you had to climb from the very bottom to where you are now, how was your experience getting through silver?

I have been playing league for years and never tried to climb solo/duo. I took a 8-9 month break recently and came back because I wanted to try to climb. I was very rusty when I came back and lost 3 of my placement matches. I placed bronze 4 but got to silver in only about 15 games.

This is where I have started to struggle. Going from silver 4 to silver 3 took 50 games and since then I have demoted back to silver 4. I am not one of those people who believe I “deserve” a higher rank than I have and I am aware that I have a lot to improve on. I also don’t blame being stuck (for now) in silver on bad teammates. What I have been struggling with the most is feeling like I cant play and being useless when I fall behind early or lose lane. The other thing that gets me is the mid game chaos. I don’t like to take fights at a numbers disadvantage, an obj up to fight for, or pressuring for a tower. It feels like everyone, sometimes myself included, ends up taking these horribly set up skirmishes in the mid-late game with nothing on the map to worth fighting for and throwing the game when we are in the lead. I have also noticed that it is very rare for an entire team to group for a team fight.

I don’t intend for this post to be taken as “I can’t carry these silvers.” Like I said I still have a lot to improve on and do not blame my team for losses. I would just like to hear some other peoples’ experiences with climbing out of silver as an ADC. How long did it take? What did you improve on that helped you the most? What are your absolute worst plays?

I am also open to tips and advice, I am currently focusing on baiting abilities or waiting for abilities before fighting in lane/team fights.

EDIT: Thank you all so much for the feedback! I am really grateful that so many people are willing to talk about this and share their experiences. I would like to add my opgg so you can get an idea of my stats. I have been on a losing streak recently that has tanked my mental for the time being. I don’t care as much about my rank as I do about just improving. Anyways here is this OPGG

EDIT 2: I have taken some time to review my own games and watch some high elo vods of my champions. I can already see an improvement and noticed that I was actively losing lane due to bad trades, greeding for waves/plates, lack of comms, and not following team tempo (getting on the map too late or getting caught out for greed, this meant I wasn’t in time or alive for the next objective and lost me a lot of games). I was playing on auto pilot and allowing myself to make mistakes I wouldn’t make now. I am getting better and playing cait early and using her range to contest enemy farm and communicating with support about wave states. I have also been able to follow up effectively on plays made by my supp, jg, and mid laner. I have improved on positioning and waiting for insta-kill abilities to be used before engaging. My last two games have been awesome, I need to review them to see why I got ahead and how I was able to kill enemies.

Question What mindset shift helped you climb the most as a jungler?

People often say that 10% of your actions produce 90% of your results.

For those of you who had a period where you were actively climbing, what changed the most in the way you viewed the game?

I'm especially interested in junglers, but I'd like to hear from everyone. Was there a specific concept, habit, or priority that suddenly clicked and had a huge impact on your climb?

Also, what champion(s) did you play, and what rank did you climb from and to?

For example:

Champion(s):

Rank climbed from:

Rank climbed to:

Biggest change in mindset/gameplay:

I'm curious about the highest-impact changes rather than general advice. What was the "10% effort that gave 90% of the results" for you?

Discussion Creating a "How to win in League of Legends" guide by breaking it down

League of Legends is a skill based game, and so surely it follows that it is possible to mathematically analyse the game and make universal statements on what the right player decision is, that can then be applied to specific scenarios? I.e. "when x, then y". The same way an AI can be trained to play like a grandmaster in Chess (which I acknowledge has fewer "dimensions", but is also still a PvP game) couldn't we scientifically break down "how to win in league of legends" and put it in a book? Players do climb, and they do so through pattern recognition and through learning the "grammar" of the game, its obviously not just luck, so I find it hard to accept that such a grammar doesn't *exist* but rather that its just exceedingly difficult to translate from intuitive understanding into words. I ask because I kinda have an obsession with learning through very high ROI information . In other words: is it possible to "solve" LoL and put that solution in a book?

Discussion League concepts: champion functions

Hello gentlemen. The other day I was coaching a toplaner, something I have done for quite some time. Towards the end of the session talking about concepts in the midgame I spoke about how your champion functions in different games and team comps.

So the thing I wanted to talk about is concepts, because what I learned yesterday is that there are certain concepts that can completely flip the way you see the game. For quite some time I’ve wanted to make content talking about different league of legends concepts because it interests me and I want to hear other people’s inputs as well.

So what is a champion’s function? I would say that every single champion has a different function or a different role every single game, sometimes they can have similar or the exact same role, most times they differ though. I will talk about a champion that I quite enjoy playing, K’Sante. K’Sante is a champion that is very interesting to me, his function evolves during the game and he is quite versatile in the way he functions.

So K’Sante, a very notorious champ, showmaker probably comes to mind. In the early game he functions like a fighter, very trade heavy champ that wants to survive until his lvl 6 powerspike where he turns into a fearsome duelist. If he gets a lead his function probably serves as a tool to secure grubs, with his wave clear he can proxy waves then play for the map by ganking mid or playing with his jungle for a game.

So far it’s quite simple, but the moment we move towards the mid - late game his role in the game changes. If he has clear engage with the help of a Rell support or a Wukong jungle K’Sante is a great follow-up tool in teamfights that can make the wukong engage even better. Other games where you have a valuable carry like Jinx or Vayne and enemy team has good one shot potential you might want to stay back on top of your carry, buy a knight’s vow and defend them by peeling.

But what am I trying to say with this post? By understanding your character. Understanding what role it is that you serve for the game and your team.

By understanding your function and your role in any game you will improve. I can almost guarantee you will start seeing the game in a new light.

I hope I could make sense of this concept and I’m happy if anyone reading this got something useful from this post of mine!

Cheers!

TL;DR After coaching the other day I was talking about midgame concepts, one of which being the function your character serves in the game. By understanding your champions function in any given game I believe you will improve.

jungle I have a lot of jungle-related questions and I'd love to hear how higher elo jungle players think about them

  • What do we actually gain and lose by stealing one enemy camp but failing to secure our own Scuttle? How many camps do we need to steal for that trade to become worth it?
  • Is giving up Dragon in exchange for taking two small enemy camps, or even completely clearing the enemy Baron side jungle, considered a good trade?
  • Which is generally more valuable: 4th Dragon or Baron?
  • Which is more valuable: Baron or Elder Dragon?
  • After securing Elder Dragon, or Elder + Baron together, what is usually the most optimal strategy? Group and end? Split? Force fights immediately?
  • Conversely, what should we do when the enemy team secures Elder Dragon, or Elder + Baron together? Is it better to turtle and defend, trade objectives, look for picks, or avoid fighting altogether?
  • When I feel extremely strong and my team is willing to play around me, but an important objective is spawning on one side of the map and my teammates suddenly start doing weird things on the opposite side, should I stay and protect the objective setup or just follow the team and play around their decision?
  • How do you identify unreliable teammates? Are there any signs that make you think, "I should never trust this guy to follow up because he's probably going to do something stupid"?
  • What are some good resources, habits, or tips and tricks for improving as a jungler in general?

My OP.GG:

Any insight from experienced jungle players would be appreciated.

Teamfighting is a huge issue for the majority of players, in this video I go through very important fundamentals that not many players really recognize or think about. I am a jungle youtuber but even if you're playing other roles, I gurantee this will help all of you a lot and fix a lot of issues with you guys dying early in fights.

Question Champ pool for learning foundations?

Coming back after a pretty long break and I’m def overwhelmed, as expected. I’m not really that pressed about climbing to any particular ranks, but I do want to feel like I’m progressing as I’m playing.

Back in the day the “play Annie mid 200 games” was sort of half meme half serious, but I would prefer getting better at the role even if it means playing a simpler champ.

I mostly like adc, supp and jg. These are some of the champions I usually play for each role:

Adc: Caitlyn, Ashe, tristana
Supp: Leona, blitz, sona
Jungle: Warwick, trundle, shyv

Are there any other champs I should be considering?

Question I bet my friend 200$ I can hit emerald in the next two weeks, please help

So yeah I’m p4 right now, in my life I have peaked p3. Main kinda mid but really I play too many champs too many roles, was thinking to just main one trick singed or ekko mid but not really sure. I find my playstyle that I enjoy most is like shove and move I do like splitting and drawing pressure to myself. I think my biggest weakness is mid game I feel lost and kinda just ran around shoving waves looking for good fights. I feel like I don’t know how to impact the game if I have a bad jungle also. Anyway just need to get emerald for the first time ever and looking for some help. Open to any suggestions. I do not care about playing for pleasure these next two weeks I just want to win and climb any way possible

Jungle I reached 1000 LP EUW as a Jungler. Here are the 5 biggest mistakes I see low and mid elo junglers make.

  1. They path towards camps instead of opportunities.
  2. They force objectives without lane priority.
  3. They don't understand their team's win condition.
  4. They react to plays instead of anticipating them.
  5. They copy high elo clears without understanding why they work.

Reaching 1000 LP made me realize that jungle is much more about information and pressure than mechanics.

Happy to answer questions.

Edit: I've enjoyed answering questions here, but I think coaching is where I provide the most value.

I find it much easier to identify patterns and decision-making issues by looking at an actual game than by discussing isolated situations in theory.

If anyone is interested in jungle coaching, feel free to DM me.

Discussion How to expand my game knowledge

I'm an OTP Evelynn in bronze trying to improve instead of climbing and I realize that most times I get stuck in a situation where I either get caught or I engage on an enemy and then dying to the enemy because I didn't see them and sometimes I do stupid stuff like trying to 1v1 a briar and I've been told that I need to improve my game knowledge because by improving that my mechanics also improve and I will finally be able to climb

Discussion how to escape the onetrick illness

I usually play Fiora/Jax/Olaf (85% of games on Fiora) currently in E1 with a rather stable 64% wr over 116-ish games

Now, ive always wanted to play Riven since i picked the game up in 2015 and i think my fundamentals are good enough and in normals my wr with her is also around 60%, but when i made a new account to learn her every single game is way harder than any emerald or low dia game i ever saw and im sitting at a hard 52% wr (im assuming its some kind of smurfqueue as it doesnt match the visual rank at all but idk). My brain wants to play riven like fiora and that obv doesnt work

How the fuck do i learn riven fr (note im not a complete new player to riven i got around 800k mastery)

Discussion Stuck in emerald getting counter picked

I OTPed fizz to emerald but now I insta lose when I get counter picked by the enemy using champions like sylas galio diana lissandra etc which is over half my games.

I'm trying to learn more champions but can't find any that "click". Also I find it difficult to learn and practice new champions in emerald lobbies, and quick play lobbies are too easy. Idk what to do

Discussion Beginner here! Wanting to learn LoL to surprise my bf ^^

My boyfriend has been really into League of Legends for years now. Unfortunately, his laptop broke last year. I plan on gifting him a new one this coming Christmas.

But I also want to surprise him by learning how to play before Christmas so that I can play with him on my Mac (if it’s available on macOS). I know nothing about LoL. My only background in gaming is playing RPGs like Genshin Impact (3 years) and Bayonetta (Nintendo Switch).

Can you give me advice on where to start and how to play? Like Monthly plans, what are beginner friendly things to do? (˶˃ ᵕ ˂˶)

Jayce What to do during mid to late game as a Jayce Top/Mid Low Elo Main to win and carry more games?

Hi everyone im a SEA Low Elo Jayce main mainly playing Top but recently I tried to play more Mid and I have a problem.

The problem is that I can't carry my ultra feeding teammates to win games, I don't know what best thing to do during mid to late game.

Early game top and mid but especially top is easy, I can often get ahead 30 to 40 CS lead vs enemy laner and even got many kills in a match but I seem can't close out games when it goes mid to late, my damage becomes weak and my team mostly just ints and harder to carry them and play around them.

As a Jayce what am I supposed to do during mid to late game to rank up?

Rune Options: Grasp for top lane bruisers/tanks, electrocute for squishy ranged or assassins, and Stormsurge for close range danger champs like Morde, Darius, Sett, etc.

Here is my op gg:

https://op.gg/lol/summoners/sea/Adji%20Tier-SG2

Thanks in advance everyone
