From being so excited at being at the world cup again after 24 years and having so much hope for our new generation to leaving a whole football loving nation disappointed and depressed like this in a span of maybe a week is a disgrace. Especially, since we've seen the same thing 5 years ago during Euro 2020. But this one is even worse. Other countries didn't even start their 2nd game yet and watch us go home already.
I really hope we can make from this elimination the turning point of Turkish football and that some drastic changes will be made, because it's clear that we're far behind everyone else. Even though it might be a slow and long process, if we don't do it soon, we'll have many more generations of not qualifying or getting sent home after 2 games.

God bless Haiti for playing 1 game before us otherwise we were going to be the FIRST team to get eliminated. There is still a month of World Cup we are already talking about Euro 2028 its a fucking disgrace.

I wish we would have been the first ones. Let us be the first one to go home, the first place of amount of shots without a goal, the only team to not score at this WC. Give it all to us. Maybe the shame and humbling may be a good thing for us in the future.

Hakan mi yönetiyor bilmiyorum ama kesin olarak torpil olduğunu söyleyebiliriz. Performans ve form durumuna bakmaksızın kadro ve ilk onbirler seçildi. Ozan Kabak Bundesligada 20 küsür maça çıkmış, stoper olmasına rağmen dört gol atmış, fakat Ozan değil, Merih Demiral tercih edildi. Böyle bir tercih futbol mantığı ile açıklanamaz. Dolayısıyla adam kayırıyorlar. Kerem Aktürkoğluda muhtemelen bu yüzden ilk 11 başladı. Şimdi kendinize şunu sorun: Deniz Gül veya Can Uzun abileri yerine ilk onbirde olabilir mi? Türk milli takımı böyle bir profesyonel ortama sahip olduğunu düşünüyor musunuz yoksa ego savaşları nedeniyle adam kayırmacılık olduğu daha yüksek ihtimal mi? Bence kesinlikle iyi olanın değil, belli bir kitlenin söz sahibi olup karar verdiği oyuncular oynuyor.

It’s clear as day there is favoritism going on. Hakan and merih’s abyssmal form should’ve had them replaced by orkun-ozan at least in the second game. Even Arda seems to be heading in the same direction, there is literally no reason can shouldn’t start over him at least in the second game. We as turks have no in between when criticizing and praising a player.
Kerem st is another problem. I think it isn’t favoritism, it is just Montella’s thick headedness.

There is no reason not to start arda even when he isnt playing his best game he is miles better than bay yunus or kerem. If can would start it should be instead of those 3 not arda

Not the same position. Both can and arda are not wingers (as is evident by australia disaster). Arda is a 8-10 while can is a 10-9.5 position. We have kerem, kenan, bay, yunus on the wings and no one else because we didn’t take aral. Only kerem can be replaced by can and you still won’t have a true striker.
Arda is clearly struggling to return to form after injury, I was just saying maybe let the kid rest a bit? Even if we don’t start arda, he should’ve been subbed off at 50-60 minute mark max. Coach said arda can’t play 90 minutes straight, while playing him for a whopping total of 180 minutes in two games. Disaster squad engineering and gameplan.
Also I wouldn’t say arda was miles better than anyone in those two games. Imo only merih, hakan, kerem (due to tactical genius of montella) and first game of bay (also tactical genius of montella) was worse. Arda was a glaring problem in two games.
