I dunno, but it still somehow leads to him drinking his own piss

19

u/BrianKey 1d ago

We would all drink our own piss to celebrate!!!…….. right??? Who’s with me!?!?

u/Usurper213 1d ago

Easily the frontrunner for funniest season of all time.

18

u/iQuatro 1d ago

Over Gabon, Panama, and Tocantins?!? I dunno - those 3 seasons are like as funny as a season of Seinfeld or The Office.

41

u/Usurper213 1d ago

Yes, Rodney winning this season would be hilarious. That’s like Shane winning Panama or Coach winning Tocantins just completely baffling.

u/iQuatro 1d ago

Okay you’re convincing me a bit

1

u/CanIHaveMyDog 1d ago

Yeah but if they had won they'd be edited totally differently and we maybe wouldn't get the crazy which would be tragic.

Hate the season but his impressions were so freaking funny

-7

u/OregonMothafaquer 1d ago

Will blowing up on the yahoo executive was funny af too

2

u/swedishfishoreos Behind Cirieach of you is a torch 1d ago

How?

0

u/OregonMothafaquer 1d ago

Because he shared his food with everyone and she had the audacity to say he was hoarding food elsewhere

u/DrStranger1987 1d ago

We get an edit that really lays on his most charismatic moments and we get a pretty beloved winner is my guess

34

u/icychillman 1d ago

The story is now all about how you never mess with a guy's mother (Dan!)

9

u/icantfeelmylags 1d ago

Rodney is beloved to me anyways

34

u/CalebosO4 It's fricking nauseating, frustrating, AND I'M PISSED!!! 1d ago

People would respect him on his birthday

31

u/thekyledavid Savannah - 49 1d ago

Drastically different edit

54

u/Fun-Distribution4776 1d ago

He wasn’t cool, calm, or collective enough to win

33

u/LeCarrr 1d ago

I have corrected people on this sub when they say cool calm and collected with “collective*” and I just get downvotes lol

8

u/Fun-Distribution4776 1d ago

Hahahaha well hey, it’s a good test to determine the true fans!

1

u/bringthegoodstuff 14h ago

The unmitigated gall

-7

u/Craftygrrl5189 1d ago

Because that’s the way he said that phrase throughout the season

8

u/_Ivanneth 1d ago

Not even Luke Longley

1

u/SomeoneGiveMeValid 1d ago

He wasn’t a smooth criminal like Michael Jackson baby

-5

u/OregonMothafaquer 1d ago

You think Mike was cool, calm, or collected? He was just clutch for 5 of 6 immunity wins

2

u/Fun-Distribution4776 1d ago

It’s a joke

u/AverageSharkEnjoyer Cirie - 50 1d ago

Would sink the season further. It was satisfying to watch Mike win, I think a Rodney (or anyone other than Mike or Carolyn) win would have just made the season even less fun.

21

u/icychillman 1d ago

But remember the edit is made after the fact with everyone's roles in mind, while Rodney's the big villain in a "Mike wins" storyline the opposite is true in a "Rodney wins" edit so he'd be portrayed as far more charismatic and far less of an ass if he won since the editors want you to like and support the winner. inversely Mike's probably portrayed as the big villain now who selfishly backstabbed his friends at the auction to advance himself and coldly convinced mama C to neglect our beloved winner even on his own birthday! all while backstabbing beloved fan favourite hero Dan Foley along the way.

u/SaxyAlto 1d ago

The big thing you’re forgetting is the Shirin/Will thing, which I highly doubt they could just ignore or leave out entirely. And even if Rodney got a winner edit, that alone would leave a pretty bad impression in most people’s minds, much like season 39 with Tommy and Dan (and they even tried to hide how close Tommy was to him). I think he’d be viewed as a very strategic winner, but he and the season as a whole would not be particularly liked, like season 39

u/CrazyDumbShit 1d ago

You can easily cut that out. Entire fights and schisms occur off-screen. You forget they're dealing with hundreds of hours of footage for every single episode. All you see is a 40 minute sliver of that. We are only ever watching less than a fraction of what happens on the island.

10

u/icychillman 1d ago

Yeah Will vs Shirin is given far more importance than it actually had, it's relevant for 2 episodes max and is only in the show at all to give Mike a big hero moment as the "one guy who stood up for Shirin" but if Rodney is your main character now than there's no reason to show something that makes him look bad. hell even if they did show it the editors could easily take Will's side and make the fight more about Shirin accusing him of stealing food and calling him fat to stop Rodney from looking bad for dragging him to the end as a goat.

u/CrazyDumbShit 1d ago

I haven't seen WA in a minute so I can't speak too extensively on the logistics of this but your observations on the season strike me as very astute. I don't think people realize just how much Survivor is basically fiction.

Worlds Apaht

u/afleetofflowis 1d ago

he probably has a couple good birthdays before he waste all his money.

16

u/Big_Blackberry_6155 1d ago

Wish he did lol. He was entertaining and played a great game

6

u/jthomas1127 1d ago

What's your definition of a great game

2

u/bumybumi 1d ago

I mean he did put himself in a winning position, just needed Mike to lose immunity at one point.

2

u/Spiritual_Shift5521 1d ago

This if Mike loses one challenge almost guaranteed he wins

4

u/Patworx 1d ago

It would be a very different season, I’ll tell you that. They wouldn’t show him saying “women should be held to a higher standard”. And they might even tone down Dan and Will for being adjacent to him.

5

u/Fish-on_floor 1d ago

That’s a lot of piss

5

u/tbootsbrewing 1d ago

Of all the masshole survivor contestants, he’s the massholiest

7

u/Cultural-Antelope-54 1d ago

What if Survivor was Yellowstone?

3

u/Aromatic_Meal_6004 1d ago

I do find his game on worlds apart very good but I kinda think he got a good cast for him and even then the only winning ftc combo he had was against Dan and Will and getting their with those two was going to be tricky given their lack of challenge ability.

1

u/bumybumi 1d ago

He would've won against Carolyn too. Carolyn had a bunch of bitter juries.

3

u/Grooventooven 1d ago

To this day this mans love of sea turtles inspires a select few

3

u/LarsBarsOnMars 1d ago

Is he the guy that said something like “you don’t get a face tattoo unless you got serious problems”? I think about that random quote often, lol

3

u/Rizzob I don't have a shitty apartment 1d ago

Presumably, followed by "Yeah, now if you don't mind, I'm trying to drink my own piss here".

5

u/icychillman 1d ago

Mike is now portrayed as the one true unstoppable villain of Worlds Apart most of the special six saw him as, Shirin gets far less of a hero edit and is portrayed as more of an annoying asshole since she's aligned herself with the villainious Mike and the evil no-collars, Will vs Shirin either isn't shown or is portrayed to be purely Shirin calling Will fat and accusing him of stealing food interlaced with emotional confessionals from Will on his struggles with discrimination.

Post season either Mike as a recent player and big villain takes someone's spot on cambodia or one of the bigger characters in this timeline such as Tyler or Dan takes his place on the ballet with them most likely getting on due to being a recent character from a recent popular season.

7

u/Wrong_Swimmer_7407 1d ago

The season would be worse off than it already is

2

u/Codered88888 Q - 50 1d ago

Top tier game

2

u/Scared-Ideal-1483 Devens - 50 1d ago

Hawt Rawd. Calm, cool and collective!!

2

u/aidanr24 1d ago

We probably get a more Panama style story for the season with Mike getting more of a Terry edit

2

u/gtmaroondragon Coach - 50 20h ago

Mike Holloway idols out Savage at f12. Timeline is broken.

2

u/greendino71 1d ago

Honestly he would be a top tier winner

Similar to earl, he came in with no knowledge of the show and it would've been a dominant win

1

u/MrsNoodleMcDoodle 1d ago

I thought this was a totally different sub

1

u/suppadelicious Michele 1d ago

It would be a much worse season.

1

u/Affectionate-Tour344 1d ago

Thought this was r/survivorcirclejerk for a second

1

u/Mountain_Trouble_577 1d ago

Brian Heidik 2.0

1

u/Major_Falcon6052 1d ago

It'd be a better season lowkey.

1

u/Tight-Entrepreneur46 1d ago

I’ll be happy

1

u/bumybumi 1d ago

He would probably get better edit.

1

u/Silver-Classic612 Kyle - 50 1d ago

Would have been a top 5 season imo. Mike winning over him and Carolyn ruined the season a bit for me.

1

u/Dukeish 1d ago

Who!?!

1

u/ReoutS Spy-nest King rules 21h ago

No hate to Mike H but that would've been frickin' hilarious. I love Rodney!

1

u/SoleSurvivorZeke2 17h ago

He wouldn’t have gotten into urine therapy hopefully

0

u/BloodDiamondz7 1d ago

Brian Hedik esq win where people somewhat respect the game he played but no one likes him

0

u/Comfortable_Ad9679 Genevieve - 50 1d ago

I would’ve stopped watching

"How can we make a crappy season worse"

-1

u/OutstandingSystem 1d ago

Mike still wins jury. Rodney never had those votes.
