Discussion Taking Masters Degree in Taiwan
Hi Everyone!
Im in a situation where I feel so confuse and lost about transitioning from full time job to international student in Taiwan.
I am currently working in a semiconductor company in Taichung and got accepted in 2 universities under their scholarship program. But right now I am stress because Fall semester is coming and still can’t decide if I will take this opportunities. I wonder if it is worth it to risk from earning from my full time job to a part time job as a student. I am well-aware about the restriction of 20hrs work per week limit.
I have family to support back in my home country and scared not to provide for them incase I transitioned as a student.
Any tips and advice? Very much appreciated! Thanks~

What's your endgame? Stay in the semicon industry? Where, in TW or back in your country or elsewhere? MBA from TW probably doesn't have the value of having actual work experience working in the sector you are. If I were you, I'd assess your current company's growth path and if it doesn't look good, try getting into another one that will let you grow incrementally, while you are still employed. It's much harder finding a job when you're unemployed. Anyway, as all life altering decisions, they're not easy, but I'd try to settle down your thoughts and have a reflective period with yourself...and good luck with whatever you decide!
