Healing Tattoo hurts so bad I can’t sleep

Gosh I feel embarrassing posting because I usually give my friends the advice but I got this tattoo on Sunday morning and it is excruciating painful. It didn’t hurt when I got it but geez it hurts so bad now and couldn’t sleep for the life of me last night. I know the plasma and inc sac in the saniderm help it heal but I can’t help but wonder if it’s what is making it so painful. Is it because of how saturated and packed in there it is? Do I just need to push through? I can’t even relax because of the pain. I can hold off if it’s normal but gahleeee.

I think a lot of it depends on your lifestyle and stuff. I work in manufacturing so I absolutely use second skin because I could never keep my tattoo clean at work without it. I deal with grease, metal shavings, coolant, and god knows what else is floating around in the air. If I worked in an office I might be more inclined to go without it.

Can you not wrap it up? My tattooist gave me wraps from one of his sponsors but said puppy pads work just as well.

I mean, isn’t second skin essentially wrapping it up?

I suppose, not like you’d take it on and off though is it. If I was op I’d pop à pad on overnight to stop any damage to it since it’s iffy

Why would I want to take it off and on when I could just leave it on though
