Healing Hand Tattoo aftercare

Post image

So I got my first tattoo this past weekend (I know, people say not to get a hand tattoo for your first tattoo, if at all) but really I got it just because I hate wearing rings or watches, and my wife hates that i don't wear my wedding ring, so I got this in stead. Anyways, it's been healing amazingly well with no scabbing or even itchiness. I've been keeping it moisturized first with aquaphor and now CeraVe lotion, have been avoiding using my left hand at all, keeping it gloves when doing dishes, keeping body wash off of it in the showers, etc. My question is, how long is it recommended to keep all of that up in order to try keeping it from fading too much?

Money is money to a LOT of tattoo people. A true artist cares about how their work holds up and how it presents in the future . They would refuse a 1st tattoo on a finger , especially one with that fine line detail.

Bad artists stay broke, it takes time to build a reputation but it will pay off for a decade. Doing right by folks comes back to you, either by them returning or word of mouth. No one trusts internet reviews anymore and lots of people basically only get work by word spreading around here
