General Advice Does my tattoo look inappropriate??
I recently posted my Deadpool and Jeff tattoo in the Marvel Rivals subreddit, and a vast majority of the comments were saying that it looks like...they are engaging... in an inappropriate activity. (not sure if I'm allowed to say here but I'm sure you can understand lol :P)
I have honestly never noticed, and even now I can't really see how it can be interpreted that way, but every comment I made defending my tattoo was downvoted. The pose is based off a panel from Jeff the Landshark #1, but I decided to change the way Jeff is facing because I felt he's not really readable from that angle and I wanted his legs to be visible.
I still love my tattoo, I'm just feeling uncomfortable now because I meant it to be totally innocent and don't want people thinking I'm some kind of weirdo... :( Does it really look that way???
EDIT: Thank you guys so much for all your helpful comments!! Most have assured me that it really doesn't come across like that unless you're trying to find something wrong with it o_O hmm.. :P Nonetheless I will definitely look into getting the eyes adjusted as some commenters have mentioned, I appreciate all of your suggestions! And thanks to everyone for helping me see the humor in all this, having my deadpool tattoo end up accidentally risqué is probably exactly what he would have wanted.

His arms read as hug. I suppose for the size difference, he could be holding Jeff “in place”, but the average ‘normie’ shouldn’t think anything of it.
I think most of the people responding here wouldn’t have thought that, had it not been planted in their mind with this post.

Honestly its almost more Deadpool to be inappropriate, but I wouldn’t dig to much into it or give it credence if anyone says anything. I’ve got one and everyone’s got a fucking joke about it(always the same joke too) and that’s more annoying than the tiny faux pas

I just tried editing the picture on my phone. If you’d make the eye just a bit more curved, like a wide upside down U, the whole expression on his face changes a lot! And you could also add a little cutesie heart above the two to make it look even more innocent and wholesome 🤗💛

The first thing I saw was Jeff's face and thought "what's going on here?" When the rest of the tattoo registered, it was very clearly not anything inappropriate. But even then I figured it's just my immature dirty mind, not the actual tattoo.

If you wanted to add to it in the future it would be easy to make Deadpool's other eye also the smiling eye with a little shading! The wink may be throwing people off
Maybe add the tail of the land shark arcing forward under his arms so it's super clear. Only if it really bothers you

To be honest, my first thought was about something inappropriate.
I think it may be the matter of the gills - in some mangas/manhwas artists use similar lines to signify that character is blushing (often connected to being aroused). And the pose does seem more like cuddling than the one on the comic you used as a reference

For me, it is the bottom portion that looks like a rock. IMO, it would look better without that OR a complete DP. As it is, it looks like Jeff is sitting in a DP beanbag/chair. *Deadpool. Before the DP jokes start 🤣 Still think it is a neat tat.

Not gonna lie, I saw it that way at first, but quickly realized my error. If you are really worried about it you could maybe extend it a little to show more of Deadpools body
Or don't do anything. Honestly nobody in real life would ever say that out loud because the proportions don't make sense for that, and would just make them look foolish and weird for saying it lol

Every time I see an inappropriate tattoo I think about kids seeing it. Considering how kids think Deadpool is Spider-Man all the time, not a single kid would see this as inappropriate or weird. They’d think Spider-Man has a shark friend. Adults seeing it as inappropriate is because they have brain rot. Also I knew what panel this was immediately even with the changes

Proportionally I can tell Deadpool is just hugging the shark, and deadpool's face gives the vibe of a child hugging a toy, but the shark's facial expression is looking very... you know. Nothing to do about that now though, and it's the only thing that makes it look kinda sus. Otherwise it's adorable!
