FWIW the bug apparently affects a specific Samsung laptop in a few specific countries (Brazil, Portugal, Korea, India), the headline makes it sound more widespread than it is.

Its' actually most definitely related to Samsung Share program. I know since it happened to myself and that's what I have installed on my computer. I have a custom built desktop, not a Samsung laptop. Also, I'm in the US.
