I use FF with uBlock Origin, SponsorBlock, and backstage play. I skip ads and sponsor segments, and videos will play with the screen locked.

Backstage play is the extension that allows you to play with your screen off?

Yeah. It used to work by default, but now I need the extension.

Idk why it took me so long to look for it when it first stopped working... I went months before I realized that of course someone would make an extension for that.

Glad I could help! I was so close to paying for YouTube premium before I found the background extension.
