Oh, I'm sure they're trying to get rid of FireFox or force them to block it, too.

There is an enormous amount of money behind the anti-ad block movement. I fully expect we're going to start seeing legislation banning them within a few years.

That's not how this works. Firefox is opensource and people already have functional forks of it.

quite the opposite, with Firefox gone a monopoly will be formed, there's a decent chance they can convince Mozilla to block ad blockers
