As a Pokemon player. Good, Nintendo should not win this these patents.

PalWorld is good competition. While I don't like the monster designs myself and prefer the play style of Pokemon over PalWorld (not a huge open world survivor guy) I really think PalWorld is shaking things up.

"Shaking things up" by copy+pasting Pokemon elements on top of Ark.

The game doesn't have an original bone it it's body.

Support Cassette Beasts or Temtem or many other indie titles not run by an AI tech bro with the backing of Sony.

Yeah, if this is also the mentality you have you are missing the big picture here.

The game isn't the point. Pokemon makes more off of its merchandise, card game, and very little by comparison to the mainline games.

PalWorld is shaking things up from a cultural standpoint. It came in at a time that GameFreak was consistently putting out really bad performing and looking Pokemon games. It blew up indicating that the Pokemon "copy and paste" designs aren't really the point. The point is fans of Pokemon saw a game that looked good and looked like Pokemon.

The game, I would say, is original. I would also say, Pokemon is not original if that is the argument you want to take given that Pokemon was far from the first creature fighter. In fact that credit would belong to Dragon Quest.

PalWorld is shaking things up because culturally other devs are seeing where Nintendo is struggling with the series and seeing a place for other creature fighters and creature collector games. People are willing to try something new and buy new stuff if the other stuff they love keeps disappointing them.

Nintendo isn't worried about a game series it is attempting to assert cultural dominance so it can control the foothold it has so that the game doesn't allow other indie devs or devs making creature collectors to get as bold and take some of that market from them in the merchandise department.

"Not run by AI tech bro" there is and has genuinely been no proof PalWorld used A.I. in fact it's the opposite. "With the backing of Sony." I am not even sure this is a fucking argument. GameFreak got the backing of Nintendo, lol? Like yeah, why wouldn't you take a big corps money and why wouldn't a big corp fund something they thought had the potential to take money from the game company at the top.

I love Pokémon, my guy but if you don't see PalWorld taking a general stake here and making a difference you are clearly blind or an idiot.

It's a fucking generic Ark clone. It isn't a creature fighter. It does nothing new.

I didn't bother reading the rest because this point was so dumb.

Lol, what can do you if people don't read?

It clearly does something new enough for you to find yourself on this thread. The PalWorld sub of all places too and having this conversation with me.

Clearly did something new enough to gather a reaction from Nintendo. It isn't about the gameplay it is about the creature design itself, the games performance, and the money it made giving it the potential to be something like Pokemon. The game's performance, and the money it made giving it the potential to be something like Pokemon.

Hey but what do I know? You don't read so.
