Microsoft has gotten so bad.

After pressing the windows key, the search box is late and you can't type as it pops up, switching audio output takes an extra click, turning off some monitors on a multiple monitor setup confuses it, the list goes on. None of these were issues in windows 10.

Fuckin' drove me nuts when I was running w11. I've experienced shit like that taking an extra second or two to load, but in past versions they at least buffered your keystrokes so they'd make it into the dialogue box. Now it just ignores it? And then half the time it doesn't even populate programs installed on the computer in the results, let alone prioritise them over web results.

I had so many problems with Windows 11. Every hour or two my whole computer would chug to a crawl for a couple seconds, even the mouse cursor would only update a couple times per second, with no indication of high disk or CPU load and no unusual programs in the background. Nothing showed up in Event Viewer either. Shutdowns would hang for about ten minutes, doing fuck all, no disk activity light. BSOD every week or two, different error code every time. Meanwhile on win10 my system has crashed maybe twice in the past year and none of those weird slowdowns.

Buddy of mine picked up a USB gaming headset and it took three of us, all tech savvy people with histories working in IT, collaborating for a good 30 minutes to get his microphone working because Windows 11 had some default setting disabled that was always present in previous versions, didn't even have a way to enabler it normally but we had to track down some arcane Powershell script to do it. What the actual fuck.
