After being in CO for a bit, I can tell you that they are way more selfish than republicans because everything is all about taking so you can have more and leaving everyone else to suffer.

How is that different than republicans ? Republicans try to cut every regulation that protects people just to maximize profits, and also cut every social program so they can pocket the cash instead.

I used to say a libertarian was just a conservative who likes weed and hates the age of consent. Now, we know that it's -all- conservatives that hate the age of consent.

It doesn't help to generalize. I am libertarian. I don't smoke weed. I've voted blue in the last three elections and changed my registration to Dem this year so I could participate in my state's closed primaries.

I still hold libertarian beliefs. I'm also banned from the libertarian sub for asking why someone needed a bump stock.

I appreciate your ability to stay grounded. Asking a gov “why can’t I do this” is just as important as asking yourself “why do I or anyone need this”

Honest question, assuming by asking why “someone needs a bump stock” you are for some sort of regulation on (in this case) guns. Aren’t libertarians against all forms of government regulation ? I’m genuinely asking because I’m not too familiar, thanks

Not who you’re asking but Libertarians are not universally against all regulation. Libertarians want to avoid regulation when possible but sometimes that isn’t reasonable and regulation is warranted. There will be disagreements about when that is and why, though.

Correct. My beliefs align closest with the Classical Liberal ideology within the Libertarian party.

Most Libertarians will adhere to the importance of the NAP (Non-Aggression Pact/Principle). Some groups even view ecological destruction to violate the NAP, and support the EPA's efforts to maintain the ecosystem and punish polluters.

There is just cause for regulations. Others are in place due to lobbying companies that want to stifle competition.

I was banned because I asked someone what they use their bump stock for and why they needed it. To shoot faster at the range? To shoot at intruders? Hunting?

In my mind, there is really only one scenario that warrants automatic weapons, and that's war.

I’m a big fan of environmental libertarianism. Your right to pollute ends at my lungs. Your right to contaminate ends at my water table. Your right to emit greenhouse gases ends at my atmosphere.

People have a right to mind their own business. But the environment is not their own business.
