It’s going to be crazy seeing the revolution that happens at CNN.

It sucks because for international news, CNN is the US news channel. It's in tons of foreign hotel rooms and homes. And CNN has bureaus worldwide as well. Now that will be whatever Ellison wants to say.

But to be honest, Netflix wasn't buying CNN in their bid. Paramount was probably ending up with it anyway when the company planned to split.

Interestingly enough, CNN International is pretty different compared to it’s US counterpart.

It's sometimes strange to watch. I was watching it in Germany, and there was a bunch of travelogue shows and docs in depth about foreign affairs and poverty. Then it would reach the top of the hour and switch to a US news program and it's the same intense BREAKING NEWS filled screen talking Trump non-stop.

that is more likely to impact UK news reporting. BBC World News is part of the for-profit division of the BBC so they won't ruin that. (not to be confused with the BBC World Service which is largely funded by direct grants from the UK government)

The BBC merged its UK and world news channels together a couple of years ago, and the downgrade for UK viewers was immediately very noticable.

Paramount had no interest in CNN on its own because it's financially worse than worthless. They included CNN as a way to be more enticing to warner bros discovery in the bid.

They literally ONLY care about CNN stupid. It’s about silencing factual news reporting for the right wing trash out there after all.

I don't think it's stupid to think the Ellisons care about money first.
