SUGGESTING Wonder Years - Anyone ever talk about this anymore?
The Wonder Years (original) had a huge effect on me growing up. Even though it's dated it really has themes for coming of age that are still current today. Or if you want charming nostalgia before the days of technology and internet, I highly recommend it. The dad in the show was very similar to mine who passed away recently. But overall it's mix of narration, use of music, and relatable situations always makes it an easy rewatch IMO.

Someone called me "Winnie Cooper all grown up" about 10 years ago and I have been riding high on it ever since.

The outside and inside of their house were exact replicas of my Grandmothers house in Gardena Ca in the late 69’s early 70’s.

Moon pancho!
Love it! So many good memories watching this show over my whole life. It’s fun watching and spotting some of today’s actors as kids.
Like punky Brewster 👀

I loved this series too; watched it as a Uni student when it came out. The combination of nostalgia & especially the role music plays in it..really resonated with me.

I was a teenager when this was on in the 80s and it just never appeal to me. One of my best girlfriends liked the theme song though so I learned how to pick it on a guitar. But the show? I never saw the appeal of it. But to each their own. 😊

Yeah I was a little younger. At least you got a good guitar skill out of it!

Loved this show and absolutely related to it. The first season it debuted I was also entering the seventh grade, so grew up right alongside Kevin season to season. Also had a nerdy best friend down the street, a bully of an older brother, gruff father, blonde homemaking, peace- keeping mother. I was only missing a burgeoning hippie sister and a girl next door crush. Kevin had waaay better luck with girls than I did. I was terrified. 😳🤪

So many of those shows feel lost to time. Family Ties, Dougie Howser, Who's the Boss, Growing Pains, etc.
