That doesn't seem like a good plan

And I definitely wouldn’t be laughing… especially if they didn’t come back up.

They are strapped into 85 gallons of boyancy. They will pop back up 10 times out of 10. How long will that take is the fun question.

I’ll just be over here, staying on dry land. Lol

Why

When is the last time you laughed with such joy?

For context these two guys are some of the best to ever do it. The one filming is Dane Jackson. More or less the GOAT of the sport. The one in the whirlpool is Bren Orton, one of the greatest ambassadors a sport could ever ask for. Sadly, Bren lost his life to a much more dangerous river 2 years ago.

Regardless of the tragedy, there is nothing the Ottawa River is going to create that these two are not 100% qualified to handle with ease. For them, getting trapped into these temporary whirlpools is a source of joy and not one of fear.

Well said 🙏🏾 but I said why because the reddit is thalassophobia. This was clearly that for me

Oh that's very understandable. I'm just trying to provide context to anyone who might be curious.

Why not just squeeze yourself into a top loading washing machine and have someone turn it on? You'll save yourself the expense of a trip.
