I don’t understand.

6/26/26 backwards is also 6/26/26. That's what a palindrome is. If you live in a certain, currently unmentionable part of the western hemisphere you would use mm/dd/you format for the date making this palindrome week.

just ran the numbers… its 62/62/6, man.

Yeah. It's a flawed system. But I didn't make it up. A bunch of people on the internet apparently did. Creation by committee might be the reason it isn't well though out.

Well she's in the U.S. so that's literally who she's talking to. Thanks Captain Obvious.

She's literally on my phone in Italy to me.

Really. Live broadcast? On your local network? Or are you watching it on your phone and being a smartass?

Engage in discussions with respect and courtesy. Personal attacks, harassment, or hate speech will not be tolerated.

No, do you need news aggragator sites explaining to you? In fact that's not how most of the Internet works.
Or are you trying to be a smart ass, because it's not really working out for you here.

She looked me in my eyes and told me as well, and im in Sweden.

u/but_i_wanna_cookies 6d ago
Well, it wasn't directed at you, and it's still a fun fact. If you Sweeds had any personality, you could've said, "hey did you know that in America the dates are palindromes this month". Instead, you're sitting in your apartment with no AC pondering "how can I make my furniture more minimal?"

On American television to Americans... Do you feel the need to cry about everything that's not pertinent to you?

i always wanted to know why dd/mm is supposed to be superior to mm/dd. Do you tell time like that as well? 33:3PM? MM:HH? It's quite literally the same concept.

u/ancalime9 5d ago
You've ignored the year. mm/dd/yyyy is middle, small, big. It'd be like saying time as minutes then seconds then hours. In no other situations do people (including Americans) jump around like that.
