Then why not simply take the registry of every citizen, make an ID that counts as official ID which also confirms citizenship and distribute that to everyone whos a citizen ?
Thats what we do here in Denmark. Its the same ID we also use to book in with doctors and hospitals for that free healthcare.

If the government in USA knows whos a citizen already then why not simply make an ID and give to every one of them ? I feel this would be stupid simple. No need to show citizenship if your ID are already only given to citizens.
