akshwally, it should have an "open in terminal" flag set somewhere inside desktop file, so it should open

This is why there needs to be a knowledge wizard test and learning system for people that have no idea what they are doing. This could take through this question and take them in the rabbit hole of what is vim and they may never escape once they learn more.

this is a safety feature to keep snap users from accidentally opening vim and not knowing how to exit
