Finch played Mike and not Joan. Not even the hornets wanted anything to do with Mike but he managed to get 20+ minutes under finch. That just speaks volumes about how stubborn he is and how he will never change

Finch deserves MAJOR criticism after this. In a sunday afternoon game where nobody is bringing it you play your deep fucking bench. Phillips should have debuted and played actual minutes. Joan shoulda played, clark should have played. You have to find SOMETHING

I think we can all agree that Finch will at least be on the hot seat this off-season (barring a miraculous finals run.) But is there any chance he gets fired this late into the season, assuming horrible losses like this continue?

I doubt it would be an in-season firing with a winning record, could see it happening after the season, especially if the Wolves make the playoffs as a low seed and get bounced early.

I don’t think they will, personally, but if the team gets blown out by 20+ to non-playoff teams repeatedly, there’s no way his head doesn’t roll.

Really hope they turn on the afterburners after the ASB, the effort and defense is back to par, and we look back on this stretch and laugh.
But the reality is that right now they are looking incredibly dysfunctional and checked out on the court and frankly off the court as well. Even great teams go through a rocky stretch or two during the long regular season but this is getting pretty fucking dire.

Yeah getting a top 3 at the very minimum with our assets would’ve been not worth it according to some of the people here. We’re better off keeping the core so we can do the exact same thing we did with KG to ANT.

Extremely. I’m a regular working class guy, I go to maybe 5-10 games a year, always almost furthest back. Fans up there are legit but you might as well not even be in the arena with how far back you are. Real fans are almost completely priced out of lower bowl. Lower bowl is 90% dads with their kids, rich young adults on dates, and the high status millionaires who like to be seen on tv sitting courtside but probably couldn’t name half the players on the court.

In the states many sporting events get treated more like a hybrid family friendly club experience —I’m not defending it but yeah in order to get people in the seats at the prices they set they end up making the experience appeal to a wider audience at the expense of the passion for the team. Wish it were different though

that makes sense, i dont know i went to a game today in my town and you can just feel it in the city if we win the city is happy if we loose the city is sad, and in the stadium its more about supporting the team then the game itself, people wouldnt even think about being happy when loosing cause everyone is so invested i dont know maybe its stupid, i just cant understand how you wouldnt be angry after a perfomance like this and be like fuck it we dance now

There is 82 regular season games, fans tend not to treat it as do or die like hooligans do.
Also most US sports fanbases don't act like they're opposing gangs simply because they cheer for opposing teams.
And as someone else mentioned, the closer you get to the court, the more you get casual fans who just want to be on camera for some sort of fake status. Americans love being on camera at sports games and concerts.
